Chertsey is on the banks of the Thames, just a 30-minute train ride from London.

This lovely riverside campsite is an oasis in the suburbs. It has a really rural feel yet is just a 30-minute train ride to London from the Weybridge station. It’s also perfectly placed for visiting some of the country’s best-loved theme parks (Lego Land, Thorpe Park and Chessington), as well as the world-famous Kew, Wisely and Savill gardens. Hampton Court and Chelsea flower shows are also within easy reach from here.

This popular site is on the banks of the River Thames. Bag yourself a riverside pitch and watch the many pleasure craft sail by. Canoeists can launch from here, while walkers will enjoy the Thames Path Nature Trail, a towpath leading to Staines.

The sheltered site provides great facilities for campers, including a games room with TV and table tennis table.

Worth Noting

The site is outside the Congestion Charge and Low Emission Zones. Fishing is available 16 June-15 March. Towcars must remain on site overnight (due to the possibility of flooding). Super Service pitches have TV aerial sockets. The Weybridge station is located 4 Miles from the campsite. Those with motorhomes who wish to use this station are advised to use a taxi when possible

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora or fauna. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

The farm shop in Lyne sells a range of home-grown fruit and vegetables as wellas goose eggs, fresh bread, chutney, jams and more.

We've used Chertsey regularly for the past 12 years and noticed a gradual deterioration in the main facilities block - often toilets and/or showers are out of action, presumably awaiting repair. On the last couple of visits there has been a peculiar pong of drains. It would seem that the block is now well past it's use by date and a refurb is needed. Having said that, it's very handy for nearby attractions such as Windsor, Legoland, Chessington, Thorpe Park. Don't rely on public transport as the bus service along Bridge Road is infrequent and the railway station is a 20+ minutes walk.

This was a short visit but the staff were helpful, the site was clean and quiet. The individual washing cubicles are an asset. The bus and train are not too close but within walking distance.

We were touring around and on our first visit to this site on entering the site office the manager Patricia was on the telephone and I must say wasn't being very helpful to who ever she was talking to, When it was our turn to book in she was very abrupt and not very welcoming at all how ever the site it's self was lovely and well kept we only stayed two nights and then moved on touring . We stayed at this site on our way home a week later and was booked in by a lovely lady called lizzie who was most helpful and told us some useful information on the area and we ended staying an extra day so we could look around

We arrived in the early evening as expected and reception staff took us to our pitch very quickly and efficiently. The site was very clean and tidy and the floral decorations around the site were very attractive. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and tidy although older than facilities at some other club sites we have used. The site is by the river which provides a pleasant walk and there is a conveniently situated pub nearby which we used briefly. There were several units pitched in the area but the site was very quiet and peaceful, providing a very relaxing overnight stay.
