Looking a bit tired. Convenient for Ipswich and surrounding area. We booked this site by both email and phone in January for the late May Bank Holiday. We confirmed again in early May but when we arrived there were several reserved pitches, some for people who had obviously left ages ago, some for the future beyond our dates but no pitch for us. We couldn't get a response for a considerable time when we tried to pay but eventually one of the owners appeared and told us to pick somewhere. The site is level and split across two fields. The one nearest the road has 8 marked pitches with hookups and adjacent water standpipes. The second field is apparently intended for tents that don't require a hookup (we did) although there was a caravan on it. The toilet facilities are just about adequate although no-one cleaned them whilst we were there. There's no hot water for washing in the cubicles or for washing up at the outside twin sink unit. Showers are 50p a go putting the money into an honesty box. We got the impression that the owners, who are clearly elderly and infirm, were no longer able to maintain the site fully which is a shame as otherwise it would be great.

Its a nice little site well placed for visiting Woodbridge and surrounding area, but The facilities could be much cleaner, and if you offer sinks for washing up they need to have hot water and be in a shelter as both sinks had bird dropping on them. I don't feel its value for money if there is not even hot water to do your pots etc.

A lovely quiet little site with flat grass pitches, friendly owner and local produce available. Very close to Woodbridge. We stayed for one night to try out the new van and awning. There was only us and a motorhome there. The Owner was helpful and chatty. Small toilet & shower block (didn't use the shower so cant comment). We took our bikes and cycled into Woodbridge (10-15mins - across the busy main road using a crossing). A lovely town with plenty of Real Ale pubs and The Angel has a Gin Bar too! Cycled to the local pub (The Turks Head) in the evening, down very dark country lanes. It was more restaurant than pub but seemed very popular and did have Real Ale.
