Overview

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operates under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

Our site is on part of our 5 acre smallholding in the Suffolk countryside. We are within easy reach of several small coastal towns and villages and we have tourist information and maps onsite. A good area for walking, cycling and birdwatching. Fresh eggs and seasonal produce usually available.

Fareacre is a secluded, small but excellent campsite.

Fareacre is a secluded, small but excellent campsite. We had the option of electric hook up for our tent but decided to keep it simple by exchanging freezer packs each morning. We sought out quieter roads to cycle to various places each day such as Snape Maltings with a walk from there ,Aldeburgh and it's beach and the picturesque village of Orford. Southwold was also a short drive. The campsite possessed good, clean facilities and even an enclosed information centre with dartboard ,magazines and books. A well thought out campsite run by very friendly owners.

Fantastic site on a small holding with lovely owners We have just spent a wonderful 14 nights at Fareacre. From our arrival to departure nothing was too much trouble for the owners Sue and Colin. The site which is accommodated over 2 fields is flat and well laid out with hook ups situated round the edge of the first field. There are male & female toilets, with separate wash room as well as a shower with lovely free hot water. An outdoor wash up sink and the added bonus of a information shed with table & seating provides somewhere for get togethers. There is fresh produce and eggs for sale. The site itself lies around 5 miles from Aldburgh and 2.5 miles from Saxmundham (small supermarkets at both). Lowestoft lies approximately 30 miles north. There are many lovely coastal/country hamlets, villages & towns within easy reach. There is an abundance of public footpaths & nature reserves. All in all a fantastic site in a beautiful County with lovely hosts.

We loved it from the moment we pitched up and we didn't want to leave.

We loved it from the moment we pitched up and we didn't want to leave. Perfect place for a relaxing break and the owners were very welcoming. Waitrose and Tesco within 3 miles and lovely eggs from the site. We were supposed to go out in the mornings but enjoyed the peace and quiet so much that the coastal villages were closed by the time we got there. Very nice site and our first CS but not the last.

This is our first season with a caravaning and our first experience of a cs site.

This review is for Fareacre

This is our first season with a caravaning and our first experience of a cs site. If they are all up to this standard we will be using them a lot next year. All the coastal villages locally are worth a Visit. Sutton hoo is not too far away and we spent quite some time there and found it very interesting. Snape Maltings is also worth a visit but can be very busy at times. All in all a central place to explore the local area and still be able to come back to the peace and quiet. We certainly will be returning.
