A good site for a peaceful break. It is well placed for visiting RSPB Lakenheath - we walked from the campsite through the reserve to the visitor centre and hides (8 miles round trip).
There is a small honesty shop on site selling basic foods and necessities and very nice ice creams. This was a real bonus as the nearest shops are a few miles away.
The owner and site manager do not live on site, but are nearby and we received very clear instructions for our arrival by phone and text and a warm welcome from them when we met them. There was a group staying in and around the camping pod, which concerned us, but the situation (minor noise issues) was well managed by the owner.

It was our 1st time away , as we just bought the van. What an excellent site for doing nothing .. or walking / cycling around the flat fens. The nature reserve was brilliant , even for "townies" like us.. Stuart was there to meet & greet us, and was very nice.. One word of warning , beware of the U.S.A.A.F. Their jets are a bit on the noisy side .to say the least... blimey we have lived at the bottom of an runway , and heard Concord & 747's , but NOTHING can compare to this noise... unbelievably loud... but in fairness it was only twice in 4 days , and only lasted seconds each time .. Still a lovely totally "out of the way " site , so make sure you stock up well.. don't rely on the farm shop as they are moving . It's what basic camping should be.. loved it.....
