Lovely peaceful break in foggy November
We had a very peaceful 3 night break. Kathy & Tim were very welcoming.
Good walking over to the RSPB area straight from the camp site.
The site is nice & level with plenty of choice for hook up. The grass was quite long and everything was generally wet as it is at this time of year.
We had a really lovely stay & got out to visit Brandon Forest. The area looked great for cycling.

Marsh Harrier hunting in the adjacent fields. Easy walk into the reserve then a couple of hours to the visitor centre: we saw cranes, hobby, cuckoo etc
Basic but OK facilities. V helpful and a v warm welcome. Overall a great place to stay if you want quiet/walks/birds!

A good site for a peaceful break. It is well placed for visiting RSPB Lakenheath - we walked from the campsite through the reserve to the visitor centre and hides (8 miles round trip).
There is a small honesty shop on site selling basic foods and necessities and very nice ice creams. This was a real bonus as the nearest shops are a few miles away.
The owner and site manager do not live on site, but are nearby and we received very clear instructions for our arrival by phone and text and a warm welcome from them when we met them. There was a group staying in and around the camping pod, which concerned us, but the situation (minor noise issues) was well managed by the owner.
