Overview

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operates under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
Whilst the majority of Certificated Sites do permit children, please be aware that this site has chosen to be Adults Only.

Little Sage Hill at Copenhagen Cottage is an Adults only Hideaway site. Here in the beautiful, tranquil Suffolk countryside you will find peace, quiet, an abundance of wildlife and be surrounded by many varied species of trees and plants. Your dog is welcome too. As well as basic CS facilities, we offer: shower/wash room, a flushing toilet, a washing-up facility – all with hot water. Our ‘Information Centre’ is full of literature about the surrounding area, as are we. Freshly harvested garden produce and eggs in season. Yoga Sessions. With a varied selection of local amenities, a short drive from major access roads, a local bus service and a mainline rail station in Ipswich makes Little Sage Hill an idea location for walking, cycling and for exploring all parts of Suffolk, North Essex and South Norfolk. Booking is advisable as those ‘in the know’ keep returning!

Excellent site, in lovely surroundings.

Excellent site, in lovely surroundings. Just spent a lovely long weekend at this site and it was a lovely relaxing weekend break. Set at the end of a short track within a small hedged field, with really good access, it was a lovely setting. The owners have done an excellent job of setting it out. Amenities are basic but more than adequate and kept spotlessly clean. It is on a slight slope so you do need adequate provision for levelling your van. Yes there is a noise, but it's the lovely sound of birds singing all day long and for me it was great being woken by the dawn chorus, something I haven't heard in ages. Although quiet and feeling remote you are not far from Ipswich or indeed many nice places to visit in Suffolk. I for one will definitely be returning.

Peaceful, clean and tidy with a warm welcome. What more could you ask for.

Peaceful, clean and tidy with a warm welcome. What more could you ask for. An early May long weekend away for three couples. Anne came along to say hello and pointed out the quaintly-housed amenities, which included wash-up room, toilet and sink and an information room, plus grey water and chemical disposal points. There is also a shower in the Studio, next to the house. We'd had a lot of rain recently and while certain parts of the site were a little moist due to the sloping terrain it drained quite quickly. A tip here to make sure to bring some form of levelling device/blocks as most of the site slopes either one way or another - guess who forgot to, but did find somewhere for our twin axle that we did manage to level up okay. We loved the well-kept lawns and beds and despite some quite strong winds the surrounding tree cover proved most effective. The peace and quiet was wonderful and especially appreciated when you consider that the A14 (and worse, a concrete section of the dual carraigeway) is barely a mile away across the valley. The 'dawn chorus' was deafening so my wife said and there are plenty of birds to watch as well as the resident Peacock and his harem and my favourite; the skylark. Lots of hook-ups around the site. I think Copenhagen Cottage will now be our new monthly meeting spot as we all loved it so much and it's pretty central for all of us. It's also very easy to get to from the A14.

A beautifully landscaped site with an array of trees and plants. Amenities spotlessly clean.

A beautifully landscaped site with an array of trees and plants. Amenities spotlessly clean. Proprietors very friendly and helpful. Our last outing for this year so kept it local, only living 40 minutes away this is an ideal site for us to have that weekend escape we somtimes need. We loved the landscaping, the colour of the array of trees was lovely at this time of year. All amenities were spotlessly clean and we liked the non regimental pitch arrangement. Would not hesitate to recommend ( already have ).
