We have been members of C&CC for many years now, but this is the first CS site we have ever used and what an eye opener. One of the best sites we have ever been on, being as myself and my wife are no spring chickens we find this site so quite and peaceful the pitches are very private and the views are lovely. If you fancy going into Weston it is only a 10 minute drive away and there are a few pubs within a 5 minute drive. The owner Mike is a lovely guy a true gentleman and although himself no spring chicken keeps the site immaculate, if this site is is a testament to what CS sites are like we shall certainly be using more of them. I have been a bit reluctant to post this review as, if this site gets discovered bye too many members it may become too popular and we may not be able to get in ourselves.

One of the nicest sites we have stayed on.

This review is for Gorselands

One of the nicest sites we have stayed on. Beautiful views with sheltered secluded pitches, lovely and peaceful. We were attracted by a previous comment regarding children running around and thought it would be quiet as we are not fond of children invading our space but were assured this was for their own safety anyway as gorse bush thorns can be very painful especially on tender skin. A site we will return to often.

Mr and Mrs Marsh are a delightful couple and well deserve the accolades for all the hard work they do in keeping the place immaculate. We stayed for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and relaxed atmosphere .The views of Weston Bay on one side of the site, and the Somerset Levels and Brean on the other is breathtaking. The pitches are surrounded by gorse and managed bramble bushes (plenty of blackberries for jam making) which protect you from the winds and weather. We stayed during the big September storm and was sheltered from the gale, and the pitches had good drainage, so no trouble driving off. The toilets are cleaned regularly, and are family sized rooms, with large shower cublicles (20p for 2 minutes). The other amenities are well placed and there is even reclaim facilities. All in all, a delightful site which we will definately use again. If you want rest and recuperation, and easy access to the area, this is definately the CS for you. For reference, as already told in a previous comment, the Queen in the village of Breadon at the bottom of the hill, is a delightful old English public house, serving meals and has a friendly and social atmosphere.
