This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operates under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. Within easy walk of Washford with a West Somerset steam railway station and Cleve Abbey. The grassy site is relatively flat and well-mown. Basic toilet facilities. The White Horse pub is only 100 metres away and has a lively local clientele. It has hotel accommodation too, evidently more important as a source of revenue. Small dining room next to the bar. Food was very eatable, if quite highly priced for pub grub. Our main concern was that the designated drinking water point produced visibly contaminated water, requiring us to ask for some at the bar. No corrective action had occurred by the time we left.
