Absolutely Perfect. A Jewel.

This review is for Exe Valley Caravan Site

Absolutely Perfect. A Jewel. Brilliant Site A gem of an adult only site situated between the river and the mill stream. Large grass pitches either side of the driveway with the river on one side and the stream on the other makes this an idyllic site. The driveway runs the length of the site and takes you to the lovely dog walk again with the river on one side and the mill stream on the other, this takes you up to the weir. The grass pitches are big and if available you can choose which side you'd prefer, there are also some hard standing pitches at the dog walk end of the site. Pitches have access to electricity, TV point and fresh water but a long cable is required on some of the pitches. i.e. 25 meters. There is also a service point for water and grey waste ideal for motor homes. The toilet and shower blocks are next to the entrance and are always clean. The showers are great with proper controls not the push button timer type. There is a clever dog wash as well. There is a reception and a little shop that provides the basics and all you'll need for a cream tea. It also stocks some camping supplies. There is also an information hut which is very useful with menus for the local pubs, local walk maps and bus times, the local bus is very handy, 15 mins into Dulverton for the local supermarket. The site is fantastic and always clean and the reason for this is Debbie and Steve the wardens they are great and nothing is too much trouble, even greeting with a coffee on arrival. They are seen all day going about their work and are always up for a chat and help in anyway they can. This is a perfect site in a lovely location and with Debbie and Steve on hand this makes for a great peaceful stay. We will definitely be returning, in fact we have already booked

An excellent commercial site for adults Wonderful location adjacent to the River Exe.

An excellent commercial site for adults Wonderful location adjacent to the River Exe. Very safe dog walk area by the river where hounds could be let off the lead and enjoy a dip if so inclined. Good sized pitches, not all on the flat but no problem levelling the van. Very high quality facilities. Some noise from the adjacent road but not too intrusive. Walks from site, details from office. Will definitely return.

Excellent site and great location for exploring Exmoor and the North Somerset coast This was our first visit to this site and it is excellent. Perfect location for exploring Exmoor and the North Somerset coast, easy to find and get to, quiet location, good walking from the site, excellent facilities, great wardens, good information hut and on-site shop - the fresh scones, cream and jam are highly recommended. In terms of nearby facilities the pub across the road is good and out of the site, turn left and left at the next crossroads there is a garage with a 'One Stop Shop' There are some slight negatives, but these do not outweigh all the positives, in my view. Lack of phone signal - but okay if you are on virgin/ EE, no 3G - but this is normal across many remote areas, plus the WIFI was not working on the site when we were there. There is some road noise and if your pitch is on the road side you are probably more likely to notice it. However, the road is not that busy and it was not an issue for us. The only other slight negative is that the toilets and showers are near the entrance and so if you are down the other end of the site you have a little walk, however, they are excellent when you get there. I have no hesitation in recommending this site and we will be returning.

First class in every way.

This review is for Exe Valley Caravan Site

First class in every way. Since our last visit the showers and washrooms updated, dog wash installed, wifi greatly improved. We have just spent 10 wonderful days at Exe Valley. We were welcomed with the Isle of Wight flag flying from the flag pole! This is our second visit with our little dog Maisie but this time we were in our new Go-pod caravan “Vanilla” We had a wonderful time exploring Exmoor which is particularly beautiful at this time of year. We enjoyed seeing the ‘Walker’ wire man sculpture in Lynmouth, Valley of the Rocks, Tarr Steps, Horner Woods, Dunkery Beacon and so many places we just happened upon. Cream Tea at Wimbleball Lake to die for and very tempting goodies for sale in the tearoom – a fab new hat for Mum! It was here that Maisie delighted in rolling in Badger poo and although we managed to remove some of it in the wet grass. when we got back to the campsite I asked Steve if his new, state of the art, eye level dog wash was working yet. He was waiting on the plumber but he kindly found a large plastic box which did the trick and Maisie was soon sweet smelling again! Nothing is too much trouble at Exe Valley. Thank you so much to owners Paul and Christine and wardens Steve and Debbie, we really needed that holiday and I know we will be back before long.
