Great stay with back to basics. Nice and peaceful.
As soon as we arrived Jenny made us feel welcome. We were shown where to pitch up on a level pitch which was large and not on top of other campers. It had a fire pit which would be good for evenings. Beautiful scenery and sunset. Toilets are Eco friendly. Sawdust. Shower was basic but did the job. Water points, washing up station, and toilet waste point. Everything you need for a great get away from it all. I'm sure we will be back at some point. King Alfred's tower is a must visit just up the road.

A lovely small secluded site with large pitches.
Even when full the site didn't feel crowded. The composting toilets were very clean. There is a single shower in a shed. The owner Jenny is very friendly and welcoming. There are various items for hire on the site including wellies. We liked the back to nature feel of the site. When we stayed the fire pits were popular, a box containing everything to light a fire can be purchased on site.
This site would be suitable for people looking for a quiet and secluded site. We will certainly visit again in the future.

Lovely quite spot with great views. Warm welcome and very helpful onsite , we will be back
Superb spot to get away from everything. Close to Alfreds tower, Stourhead woods leading onto the national trust property. All this gave a great days walking with our dogs without having to move the vehicle. Back at the campsite enjoyed the setting sun and a great flying display by a barn owl hunting in the long grass.
