Fantastic small and peaceful site, perfect if you like beautiful countryside and a friendly welcome. Had to return this year, as we love this site and the surrounding area. There is one toilet and one shower hut, but as this is a small site there was never a queue for either and both were spotless. Each plot is huge and has a fire pit which is fantastic, and Jenny supplied a fire kit each night (Wood, lighter & marshmallows !) at a very reasonable price which the kids (and adults) loved. There is loads of room for the kids to play safely. If you like simple peaceful camping then this site is perfect....AND there is a really nice pub 15 minutes walk away. Highly recommended.

Loved this spacious site for its simplicity and charm.

Loved this spacious site for its simplicity and charm. The pitches are around the edge of the field, generously spaced, overlooking the meadow and pleasant view. There were mown areas for the pitches, pathways and a lovely space for children to play in the middle. The toilet was clean and welcoming. Liked the additional of local walk maps etc. Did not use the shower as we have our own. Highly recommended.

Central to a lot of attractions, quiet site with a lot of potential.

Central to a lot of attractions, quiet site with a lot of potential. Jenny the Manager/owner has plans, which when realised will result in a very desirable place to stay. Voucher idea, 'bogof', once you have stayed there, brilliant! Hope to use ours before end of year.

I visited this campsite with my son whilst on a cycling trip. We camped for two nights and were made instantly welcome by the owner. The site is in a flat field with each pitch spaced far enough apart so as to feel you have some privacy. A fire-pit is located by the pitch and for a small fee you can be supplied with matches, dry kindling, plenty of logs and even a few marshmallows! Nearby is a large woodland and King Alfred's Tower giving plenty of walks for families, friends and dogs and a little bit further is Stourhead, the beautiful and impressive National Trust property. Within walking distance of the campsite is a great local pub, The Bull, with good food and local Somerset and Devon beer on tap.
