This is a spacious rural site with excellent views of the countryside.

This is a spacious rural site with excellent views of the countryside. It is on the Shropshire Way and near to the pleasant town of Much Wenlock. Ironbridge is nearby and offers an excellent and very historical day out. Our only concern is that it is not really suitable for motorhomes. There are no hardstandings so in wet weather there would be a limited number of suitable pitches. Our vehicle is only 6m long so it is not a large motorhome, but it was very difficult to manoeuvre it in the farmyard to fill with water, and while doing so we blocked the farm access road. The is no waste water disposal facility for motorhomes, so the waste water tank has to be laboriously emptied into buckets and taken to the drain by the toilets next to the farmhouse. The chemical waste disposal is also next to the farmhouse and does not have its own tap (well, there is one but it has been sealed off) so we had to use the drinking water tap, which is not very hygienic. These criticisms do sound very negative but they are, mostly, specific to motorhome owners, because if you are camping in a tent this site could offer a very good experience.

We arrived after a horrendous all day downpour and found the pitch a bit slippery, owners very helpful, had tractor to help you move if necessary. Absolutely beautiful spot, fishing lake. Offered breakfasts and their own free range pork products. Could not have been more welcoming, definitely will return

This is a gem of a site, friendly welcome, lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Lots of space for a CS site (some of it sloping we did have to use chocks). Facilities were basic but the showers were hot! They also sell some of their local produce and you can even order a cooked breakfast! We visited Ironbridge and there were lots of other interesting places to visit in the area. This is for you if you like 'authentic' camping complete with free range chickens!
