Get away from it all at this peaceful, no-frills campsite in the Shropshire countryside.

The peaceful setting of our Ebury Club campsite is the perfect base from which to explore the local countryside, towns and villages of Shropshire.

The area is steeped in history. In fact, pitch up at Ebury Hill and you’ll be camping on a little piece of history – nearly 3,000 years ago the area was an Iron Age hill fort.

Today the site provides a peaceful haven for campers and an abundance of local wildlife including squirrels, badgers, rabbits and birds. The campsite is split over two levels and boasts an attractive fishing lake stocked with carp, perch, roach and tench. And walkers will appreciate the many walks through fields and woods from the site.

Shropshire is steeped in history. To find out about the area’s historic past a trip to Ironbridge Gorge is a must. Blessed with not just a beautiful setting, this is an UNESCO World Heritage List site and a monument to the Industrial revolution. Ten award-winning museums bring the Victorian era to life through its many interactive exhibits and displays.

One of the country’s largest Roman settlements at Wroxeter is another place where you can step back in time or how about a trip on the Severn Valley Railway? Steam-hauled trains run between Bridgenorth and Kidderminster.

Other popular attractions include the RAF Museum at Cosford and Telford with its many shops and leisure options.

Please note, because of restrictions relating to the historical significance of this campsite, it has no toilet or showers (other than a toilet for backpackers only, see Worth Noting), so you will need suitable facilities in your unit.

Facilities: No w/c shower blocks here. This site has few facilities but the ones they have are well maintained by an excellent staff. Washing up room, small shop, gas sales, electric hook up water and chemical dispossal and a motorhome point. Staff: The staff are fantastic, helpful, always on hand and easy to approach. Site Maintainence: The Site is clean, in full bloom and trimmed up neatly. Signage is clear in both directions. The Site itself: The site is located in a very peaceful ex quarry, there is plenty of hardstanding in forms of the roads that were there. There is a small play area for children, plenty of dog walks and a nice lake for the fishers out there. The site is full of wildlife from fish, birds, dragonflies and rabbits. Due to the lack of facillities the site is mostly filled with older people in caravans, but this shouldn't stop families coming as there is a plenty to do in and around the area that will keep the kids active and give the parents a well deserved break too. Just remember plenty of loo roll and cleaning products. This is the kinda site where after a day you feel the stress of the week slowly disappear. Please come to the site if you do I guarantee you'll be back, It's too calming not too.

Just returned from a two night stay, what used to be a very happy, friendly, busy site was like a ghost site hardly anybody there and those that were moaned about the price increase. The managers and helpers are lovely and keep the site very clean and tidy. They don't deserve this, please sort it out.
