Our visits in 2015 and 2016 were fairly good but the criticisms we had were poor condition of roads on the site, neglected gardens and unwelcoming female receptionist. We visited again in April 2017 hoping to see improvements. Alas nothing had changed. It seemed that the Managers did not really enjoy their job. Not up to Club standards.

Arrival times should be adhered to, seems to me there are rules for one and rules for another. While staying on this site we witnessed 4or 5 units arrive BEFORE 1:00 yes the site was not busy, friends of ours were joining us with there unit and were told they could not arrive before 1:00 when they phoned up and again the site was not busy.

A friendly site that met all of my expectations.

This review is for Oswestry, Cranberry Moss

A friendly site that met all of my expectations. The staff were friendly, accommodating and available at most times if required. We used it as a base to visit local attractions such as Chester, Llangollen and Oswestry. Just up the road from the site is the Iron Centre which houses a menagerie of sculpted metal animals. Admission is free so well worth a visit. Being easily accessible from the A5 trunk road gives the site an advantage for anyone wishing to tour further afield. Traffic noise can be heard in the back ground but did not cause us any concerns while sitting outside our caravan. We used hardstanding which was easily accessible and level so made the job of setting up straight forward and trouble free. We hope to make a return visit in the future.

When booking by 'phone the lady taking the booking was most unfriendly and not really helpful.

This review is for Oswestry, Cranberry Moss

When booking by 'phone the lady taking the booking was most unfriendly and not really helpful. On arrival, she was even worse. Totally uncommunicative and morose. Her son on the other hand could not have been nicer. Friendly and polite with loads of information to share. It's a pity that the metal sculpture of a giraffe - made at the local metal works was not displayed and was lying on its side behind a barn. For the price, it's a bit run down I'm afraid, but notwithstanding that, we were about to book another couple of nights but the lady was so rude and dismissive when I went to order a second newspaper (paid for one, just out of the shower so I was going to pop in and pay for the following day as we went out) and wouldn't consider adding my requirements until I'd paid up. So we thought that we'd move on and meet a nicer class of person. Which we did on a commercial site next.
