Where Shropshire meets Wales

Enjoy our peaceful, family run site set in the rolling pasturelands of Shropshire providing you with an excellent base from which to explore the area by car, foot, cycle or public transport.

The north loop of the Shropshire Way covering 297 miles of stunning countryside with extensive views of hills and plains was completed in 2013 and passes within one mile of the site. Walkers and cyclists can also enjoy way-marked trails in Nesscliffe Country Park.

There are two World Heritage Sites within easy reach; Ironbridge Gorge and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and you can also visit the stunning Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfalls, four National Trust properties and five Heritage Railways.

Nearby attractions with something for all the family include Park Hall Countryside Experience, Whittington Castle, Acton Scott, Wroxeter, Lake Vyrnwy, Ellesmere and RAF Museum, Cosford.

Food, Flower, Music, Walking & Literary Festivals take place throughout the year at Oswestry, Shrewsbury & Llangollen.

Our new social room “The Barn” was built in 2013 and regular events are held throughout the year including the Site Birthday Party in August and New Year celebrations, Bingo, Quiz and Games Nights.

I thought I was on a Caravan Club site rather than a Caravan and Camping site, very unfriendly warden in the shop. Wifi reception was only good for half the site, TV reception non existing on our pitch. Never again thankyou.

I have just had a fantastic stay at Oswestry. As a wheelchair user I find their disabled facilities first class - clean and tidy. They also have FREE WiFi - what a bonus. The staff, are so helpful and genuinely nice people. I shall be coming here again and again.

A very pleasant site with welcoming, friendly, and helpful wardens.

This review is for Oswestry, Cranberry Moss

A very pleasant site with welcoming, friendly, and helpful wardens. Toilets and showers nice and clean and the site is well kept. There is a surprising amount to see and do within an hour's drive including castles, interesting towns and villages and there is some good cycling nearby once you clear a couple of miles of B road. If you enjoy cycling, Shropshire Tourist Info can provide free cycle ride leaflets on request. The Severn Valley Railway starting at Bridgnorth is well worth a visit as it allows you to explore many interesting places by steam train, hopping on and off as you please with a reasonably priced day ticket. The Bradford Arms about 2 miles from the site offers simple but well cooked food at a good price, and the visiting fish'n'chip van on a Friday night makes a welcome change from your camping stove! Overall, a pleasant site and would certainly recommend.

An excellent site.

This review is for Oswestry, Cranberry Moss

An excellent site. The staff couldn't do too much for you! One drawback - the loose stone on the roadways. It was ery good at getting into sandals and also at wrecking your knees etc if you had the misfortune to take a tumble on it! Wifi would not work and there was a very weak mobile signal on the site Our first visit, but not the lat
