Ideal for setting up as a base for the area or as an en-route stop over but nothing really on site to keep kids amused not that this was a problem for us. The private site we went on to for 4 nights had 2 play areas, a well stocked shop open all the time and 4 fishing ponds for the same price so we did feel Oswestry was a bit over priced on reflection.

Very helpful from owner when pitching up, clean and tidy site.

Very helpful from owner when pitching up, clean and tidy site. Good for access to many attractions in the area especially the British Ironworks just up the road. Buses run from the site to both Shrewsbury and Oswestry (can run a little late at times). The site does have some organised events at times.

On arrival we received a lovely welcome with a choice of pitches, we opted for the view rather than close to the amenities but to be honest it's only a short walk from wherever you're pitched. we loved the layout of the pitches on different levels with ours slightly raised off the road giving an uninterrupted view of the beautiful sunsets. The site is spotlessly clean, dotted with ferns and wild flowers. There is also an excellent dog walking path running around the perimeter at the back of the site and a bridle path next to the entrance. The amenities are excellent and kept immaculately clean, there's also a handy little essentials shop in the site office. All in all a lovely stay and highly recommended.
