We were met by our hosts upon arrival and given a choice of pitch, then even helped to manoeuvre the caravan when our movers broke down. They were a very friendly, helpful and informative family who kept their site in pristine condition. The facilities were spotlessly clean and plentiful for the number of people staying, although we were informed that improvements were being made to upgrade the number of showers and toilets. Recycling was excellently addressed, as was dish-washing and there was a mass of local information available, both at the site facilities and at the house. Access to the site was fine, and despite being close to a moderately busy country road, noise was not a problem, due to the careful landscaping. The site is just a couple of minutes drive out of Craven Arms with an excellent supermarket (which sold the cheapest fuel for miles around) and numerous places to eat-in or take-away. Also, there's the Shropshire Hills Information centre at the town, with occasional events, a meadow-walk, a cafe and souvenir shop. Just a few miles away is the amazing town of Ludlow, with its ancient narrow streets, the castle and a wide assortment of shops, as well as a good street market . In-between Craven Arms and Ludlow there is a extensive new development on a country estate, hosting the Ludlow Food Centre, which is well worth a visit by anyone who ever ate anything! The WiFi service on the site was, quite frankly, the best we'd found anywhere. This is possibly because the site is small, so there was little or no signal-loss. At 15 for a full week, I thought that the price was very reasonable. All in all, a site that we're bound to return to.

This is a beautiful site, peaceful and well maintained with excellent scenery. The owners are very friendly and helpful. There is a slight slope to the site but nothing to worry about. It is a great base to explore the Shropshire hills and surrounding town like Ludlow. Craven Arms has everything that you need i.e. supermarket, takeaways pubs. I would highly recommend this site.
