This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operates under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
Whilst the majority of Certificated Sites do permit children, please be aware that this site has chosen to be Adults Only.
Dave and Ingrid welcome you to Colemere Caravan Park, situated in the small picturesque village of Colemere [see images of Colemere] which consists of a church & a number of 15th Century thatched Tudor cottages which are listed in the Doomsday Book. In the centre of the village is the mere itself which is a site of special scientific interest & contains a wide range of wild life including Otters. It has a purpose built full circular walk which takes you through a beautiful wooded rhododendron cladded walk. On the south side of the lake sits Colemere caravan park in around 5 acres of land which actually adjoins the mere itself. We are a 5CL Site with allocation for 3 visiting Caravans and 10 Tents. As well as this we have 2 Deluxe Hand built Camping Pods on site, fully insulated, double glazed with mains electricity and TV.

Well what a fantastic site, lovely and secluded with birds singing, what isn't in the details of the site is the fact the there is a stile at the bottom of the camp site that puts you straight onto the Colemere, which is a lovely approximately 4 5mins circular walk, you then can easily get onto the canal and walk into Ellesmere, approximately 1hr, which is absolutely lovely with a tesco at the end and also the town to explore, we were there the first m
May Bank holiday which was a little damp, but we love the site and location so much that we are going back the end of July to explore more and also find Wales largest waterfall which is approx 1hr away, we only really met Dave while we were there, such a nice guy ,nothing was to much trouble kind of attitude, you can see the effort that they are putting in to make this a lovely site, with the covered area to wash pots with a lovely seating area, fridge, microwave, kettle, that I'm surprised that there aren't more reviews, just take care driving down the narrow lanes,
