This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operates under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
A hidden gem set in rural Shropshire, bordered by a natural brook. Brook House Farm campsite is an ideal getaway for cyclists, walkers, couples or families. The campsite is the perfect base situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty for those wanting to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings or explore the beautiful countryside. We are a friendly family run campsite just a short drive away from the picturesque town of Church Stretton nicknamed ‘Little Switzerland’. A busy market town full of antique shops, quirky cafes, restaurants, pubs and local amenities. Further a field is the food capital of Shropshire, Ludlow, and the historic market town of Shrewsbury.

Always a bit nervous about staying at a CS, as some can be a bit too basic. However, our fears were totally unfounded as this is a lovely little site and have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Owners have provided excellent shower and toilet facilities. It's got a pretty little brook running through it and only a ten minute walk to a pub with good food and friendly landlords. Would have stayed longer, but we had already booked next site in Wales.

A nice little site although it's worth noting that the access is via a narrow lane and it is easy to miss the turning.
To access the field there is a short grass ramp. We struggled to access the camping field whilst towing. You need to maintain momentum to get up the ramp (particularly in the wet) but as the transition from the road is uneven you risk grounding the caravan.
Ideally, this needs some attention to make the transition from the road to the field easier.

All 7 of us (4adults+2 children) instantly approved of this little site. A brook to paddle in, next to a lovely picnic spot. NO traffic noise, NO light pollution, lots of bird-song. We were able to arrange our 2 caravans and 1 tent to suit ourselves (site was empty when we got there). No marked pitches. Lots of room to run and play for the children. The new owners have worked hard to improve this site including forming a smooth walkway from the field down to the picnic site. The grass is mown regularly so that it looks tidy. We received a warm welcome and some very helpful information about the local area. Though we only stayed for 2 nights midweek, we all agreed we will definitely go again. Church Stretton is only a few miles away, an old historic gateway to the Long Mind - for those of an energetic nature. Otherwise the peace of the site is restful enough for anyone who wants to chill out. This hideaway site gets a 10/10 from our family.

We ended up staying at Brook House Farm for much longer than we anticipated- the Friday night barbeque was a great get together event for everyone on the site.
The emphasis is on families with younger children and our two (5 and 4) had a great time looking for crayfish in the brook and generally running around with the other kids who were there.
Facilities are pretty minimal and a shower would have been nice but is far from necessary when campervanning.
The local town has all sorts of wonderful shops and there's lots of places to go and things to do either in Church Stretton or a short to medium drive away. It's a great centralised rural hub to work around.
We're looking forward to returning as there's still plenty of the surrounding area to explore and it'll be good to see Dan and Mel again.
