Walking and cycling are possible direct from the site and boat launching is possible for those with small non-motorised craft. For the more adventurous there are also hill walking and canyoning opportunities. While Loch Lomond itself is popular for canoeing, water skiing, bathing and picnicking, or simply sitting back and soaking up the atmosphere.

A bus stop just 500m from the site, and train station in nearby Balloch make a day trip to Glasgow possible from Luss. For family days out there is Balloch Castle Country Park and the Loch Lomond Sea Life Aquarium, Balloch or take a boat trip to Inchcailloch, one of the Loch’s islands with its own nature reserve.

Advertised as a Adults only, but apparent a number of units had children in them. The site had suffered from the recent heavy rain with saturated ground conditions preventing use of adjacent grass area to pitches. Not a huge problem as the local midge's made sure you did not want to sit outside anyway. Access to site is through the car park of an adjacent hotel. Care required if using TomTom, indicated post code will take you to the wrong place. Waste bins are located at exit barriers, which is quite a hike if you are on the far end of site.

Our first Camping and caravan club site. the office sign said not open until 4.00 so we at 12.55 moved onto site because we could pitch at 1.00. The warden came after us and said we must book in first and in fact they opened at 1.00. Not clear. Significantly over priced for facilities.

this was our first port of call on our Scottish tour and we were welcombe in the rain by the friendly wardens and shown to our pitch by the cycling warden! the site was undergoing work so was a little noisy with big machines driving up and down all day which was disappointing and also the road noise is a little offputing as you have the main A road running behind the camp! that said the site was well placed and Loch Lomond was wonderfull. the little village of Luss with its pier was a delight and we enjoyed our home made ice cream under our umbrella. would recommend as a stop off but the road put us off staying longer.

this site is great if you are travelling up to the scottish boarders and highlands and using as a stop off, the village of "Luss" is a beautiful village and the walk to it via the loch beach and path is nice (if the weather is with you).the site is right on the loch's water edge but watch the swan's they look very nice but can be a pain when they want some food off you(but don't) they will pester you at your van door.
