Our Luss Club campsite is located on the western shore of the beautiful Loch Lomond at the southern end of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Its stunning views across the Loch and the park make it one of the Club’s most beautiful sites.

Base yourself at this 90-pitch campsite and you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do. Walking and cycling are possible direct from the site and boat launching is possible for those with small non-motorised craft. For the more adventurous there are also hill walking and canyoning opportunities. While Loch Lomond itself is popular for canoeing, water skiing, bathing and picnicking, or simply sitting back and soaking up the atmosphere.

A bus stop just 500m from the site, and train station in nearby Balloch make a day trip to Glasgow possible from Luss. For family days out there is Balloch Castle Country Park and the Loch Lomond Sea Life Aquarium, Balloch or take a boat trip to Inchcailloch, one of the Loch’s islands with its own nature reserve.

What a place! We arrived after a VERY rainy break on Skye.

This review is for Luss

What a place! We arrived after a VERY rainy break on Skye. The site is clean, calm and perfectly placed. Our pitch literally was on the banks of Loch Lomond. Somehow, despite the weather the site looked fresh and lovely. The facilities were spotless and the showers "like a warm waterfall" (as described by my husband). The staff could not do enough to help and all with a smile on their faces as they cycled around in the pouring rain. We will be back!

We have just got back from our stay here we were more than happy with the sight the staff were lovely and welcoming always somebody around making sure everybody is happy. On arrival we got to pick which pitch we would like. The toilet and shower facilities were brilliant its like being in the comfort of your own home especially to ladies which have cubicals with sink and mirrors in to get ready was like having my own dressing room. The showers are powerful and hot. The views are brilliant we were over looking to lock. Therse lots to do and see for everyone I would just advise you are prepared for any type of weather. Will deffinantly be retyrning .

A lovely site, well maintained.

A lovely site, well maintained. The only negative would be the lack of a grey water disposal point for motorhomes otherwise a lovely location on the shores of the loch. A leisurely walk into the lovely village of Luss.

I had a tent pitch just a few metres from the loch shore and it is very beautiful and was great for putting my canoe in. Unfortunately it is let down a bit by the road noise from the A82 which passes directly past the campsite. Also during my stay there were constant wedding parties in the hotel next to the campsite which went on till the very early hours of the morning, 4-33am to be precise. I can put up with the road noise but to have music thumping out past midnight and shouting till 4-33am is not acceptable. The campsite managers were very good and helpful and could not be faulted for the noise, (and they worked hard till around 11-30pm handling strangers coming onto the campsite from the wedding parties) but the constant wedding parties needs to be addressed by the club. The hotel and bar next to the club is on a fantastic location, although it is very expensive it is well worth a visit (during the day!!) to the veranda overlooking the loch. The site is all flat and well grassed, the facilities are slightly dated, but clean and everything worked as it should. Lots and lots to do and if you have a canoe or small boat it is fantastic exploring the myriad of islands on the loch, a real adventure! I like peace and quiet to get away from things, so would love to go back but the night time noise due the wedding parties will put me off.
