Luss Club Site is located in one of the most beautiful areas in Scotland, on the banks of Loch Lomond.

Our Luss Club campsite is located on the western shore of the beautiful Loch Lomond at the southern end of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Its stunning views across the Loch and the park make it one of the Club’s most beautiful sites.

Base yourself at this 90-pitch campsite and you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do. Walking and cycling are possible direct from the site and boat launching is possible for those with small non-motorised craft. For the more adventurous there are also hill walking and canyoning opportunities. While Loch Lomond itself is popular for canoeing, water skiing, bathing and picnicking, or simply sitting back and soaking up the atmosphere.

A bus stop just 500m from the site, and train station in nearby Balloch make a day trip to Glasgow possible from Luss. For family days out there is Balloch Castle Country Park and the Loch Lomond Sea Life Aquarium, Balloch or take a boat trip to Inchcailloch, one of the Loch’s islands with its own nature reserve.

We had a lovely few days at this site.

This review is for Luss

We had a lovely few days at this site. This time weather was much better and, surprisingly, no midges. We had asked for a pitch at the loch side but wifi was hopeless as was tv reception. The warden did tell us that and he did suggest a pitch further in from the loch but we chose to stay where we were. With a porch awning up we found the car parking space a bit neat. It was difficult keeping off the grass when manouvering the car especially when hitching up. There was only one toilet block open. I think something was needing to be fixed in the other block. The toilets etc were all very clean and lovely and warm. Water was very hot. More water needed to flush wc's though. I just love the ducks who invade the site first thing looking for yummies. Some are so tame that they will take bread from your hand. Resident bunnies chomp the grass and continue dining even when you are just a step or two away from them. The loch side is so beautiful particularly at sun rise. Ben Lomond dominates the scene across the water. We travelled across the loch from Luss pier to Balmaha on a ferry/tour craft. The running commentary from the skipper was informative and often very funny. Be aware if you are not physically fit as there is quite a walk to reach Balmaha from the drop off point. We went to the restaurant (I think it's called the Oak Tree) but we had to stay outside because dogs are not allowed. I thought this was rather poor as a lot of walkers use this place and quite a few have their dogs with them. On a cool drizzly day it wasn't a very nice dining experience. We will most definitely return next season.

Once again enjoyed a 5 night stay by the Loch.

Once again enjoyed a 5 night stay by the Loch. Staff very friendly considering they were having to manage the site without any additional support - it's a big site with 2 toilet blocks to manage and only two people! When do they get time off? This site is a wildlife experience site so don't expect manicured lawns! The toilet blocks do need an upgrade and a motorhome service pitch would certainly benefit the site. The disabled washroom was excellent. Will certainly be back next year.

Our first negative experience of a C&CC site I'm afraid.

This review is for Luss

Our first negative experience of a C&CC site I'm afraid. Firstly, I made a telephone enquiry the day prior to our arrival regarding arrival times which was not answered, secondly a rather abrupt 'welcome' from the on site staff, who then argued in front of me about where we were to be put and came across as very unprofessional, Many pitches were out of use due to a combination of wet ground and reseeding (other sites have good drainage, why not here?) Lastly, very noisy location being, as it is, right next to the A82 with traffic throughout the night. Nice scenery though, but next time I shall experience it from a different site.
