Overview

This is a Certificated Site (CS). A small campsite that accepts just five caravans or motorhomes. Some of these CS’s accept tents, space permitting. CSs are often quieter, smaller places to camp, with many offering minimal facilities – ideal for when you want to get away from it all.

Stayed at Priory Mill for 4 nights in July 2013.

Stayed at Priory Mill for 4 nights in July 2013. We camped as a family 2 adults 2 children aged 8 and 6 and our 4 mth old puppy. Had a great time. Plenty of lovely walks in the area and only a 10 minute walk into Brecon along the river. Brecon has everything you could ask for in a town including a great tourist information centre. Campsite is beside the river which is fantastic for playing in or just having a paddle. Although campsite is below a main road into Brecon we were never kept awake by the noise from the traffic. Open fires are allowed and the campsite provide fire pits and log seats to sit round the fire on. They also sell charcoal and logs so no need to bring your own. There is no set play area for children but there is enough room for them to run around without upsetting other campers. Lights out at 10 30 pm which is great for stargazing and enjoying the fire. Campsite is within an hours drive of some beautiful countryside and lots of attractions including waterfalls and the national show caves centre that are all worth doing. We will definitely be returning.

Only limited room for a small motor home (3 pitches available on grass) at tne end of the site and beside the main road so rather noisy. Would not think that you could access site with caravan of any size. Suitable for weekend campers (in tents) rather than week stays due to limited facilities (i.e. no hot water for washing dishes or laundry facilities). Very nice place to stay when touring.
