A beautifull, peacefull well kept site in a lovely part of Wales Just back from 13 nights at this wondefull site. Our host had got the level of taking care rather than being intrusive just right, with some nice personal touches around the site. She was around every morning chatting to everyone and generally taking care of the site. Fresh spuds were available which were very tasty. This is a working farm so expect tractors and the occasional HGV's moving on and off the farm. We spotted Kingfishers, Herons and Buzzards while on site as well as bats at night. There are fish in the river but we could not tempt them with bait. There are plenty of things to do locally and some of the scenery is stunning. Plenty of history if you know where to go and look, again Fiona is a mine of information. We enjoyed Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre, the Welsh Spitfire Museum in Haverfordwest, St Govan Chapel in the cliff face, as well as the views at Skrinkle Haven, where there is a nice Youth Hostel cafe selling sandwiches and drinks. Carew Castle and the Tidal Mill are worth the visit, take crabbing lines if you have children. This is Wales so expect some rain. The only very minor downside is getting away from site, apart from the fact we did not want to leave, all roads out of Cresswell Quay are up hill (16% which is 1 in 8) and single track with passing places. There are toilet and shower facillities available but we did not use them so we can't comment. We will look forwards to going back to this site. Thanks Fiona.

A little gem of a site. We stayed here as a family for 8 nights, 2 adults and a 4 year old. On arrival we located our pitch and soon were set up in a lovely looking field, a really peaceful location. A bit of a look around and discussion with other members on site soon directed us to the toilet and shower. There is only one of each a short walk away up at the farm but this wasn't an issue for us. In fact we only queued twice during the visit. On our third day a portaloo arrived on the field which was an added bonus. There were mostly caravans and motorhomes on site during our stay so the facilities were not in too high demand anyway. Fiona, the owner, was lovely and came down most days to speak to everyone and check we were all ok, or remove Lilo the farm dog who loved to visit us. He was very friendly and no trouble (our Frisbee however did not make it home in one piece as the small child and dog played very enthusiastically with it!) There are two fields and we were in upper meadow. Both have plenty of space per pitch and some lovely long grass for playing in. Water and waste disposal are nearby and it's so quiet as night. We loved our holiday and were genuinely sad to come home. We're already planning on booking again next year.
