Spacious pitches on a good site in a beautiful part of Pembrokeshire.

This review is for Llainpropert Cottage

Spacious pitches on a good site in a beautiful part of Pembrokeshire. We had a very friendly welcome by the owner who allowed us to choose our pitch. The site is well maintained with good facilities. The site is close to Porthgian which has a very good pub, a fish restaurant, a shop selling fresh fish and a gallery. The walks along the cliffs are excellent. St David's is also a great place to visit. We took a VW camper which gave us plenty of space. There was a mixture of units and visitors, some older couples and some families. The kitchen area was very good with a table and chairs, a microwave and fridge/freezer. Good toilet block and showers.

On arrival at this lovely quiet campsite, I was greeted by the owner, he made me feel welcome, showed me where I was allowed to pitch my tent, as I was the only person there, I was not restricted and chose a pitch in the middle of the field, being new to camping this year, I should have been near a hedge, but as the sun was setting I only wanted to get the tent up and sorted, I had driven for over three hours to get there and was tired. I discovered I had forgotten to take my sleeping bag, but had a light weight duvet. The night was cold, and not much sleep came. In the morning I awoke to a sunny day, Discovered the shower and toilet was great, plenty of hot water, and the use of a fridge, Freezer, Microwave cooker , Toaster and wash up facility were set in a cosy summer house. Later when I saw the owner again He asked me if I was ok, I explained that I had been cole etc, He kindly allowed me to stay for no extra charge in the POD, it was a lot warmer than my new tent, and really made the best of my short stay. While out walking on the coast path, I encountered seals in an inlet, they also had a pup with them on the rocky beach, I was able to make a short film and took several photos, the weather over the four days was good for walking, I also managed a dip in the sea, A great experience for me and I want to thank the owners for a great stay.

I have to be honest, we didn't actually stay here - we just happened to pass it while out walking and decided to have a look. We were staying on a Caravan Club CL nearby and as we are members of both clubs we decided to be nosey. This place is excellent. Large marked out pitches, his 'n hers toilets, a shower, a little cabin to make tea and warm up your Welsh Cakes plus nice views across the countryside. Pitches also came with a picnic bench. It's fantastic.
