Overview

Our site a mile from the attractions of Oxford city. Catch a bus from outside the site.

City break or countryside adventure, the choice is yours if you camp at our Oxford Club campsite. Located just a mile outside the centre of Oxford, the campsite is the perfect base for exploring the magnificent city of dreaming spires. Camping in Oxford doesn't get any better than this.

It’s hard to believe this pleasant bolt hole is so close to the city. It's restful ambience makes it ideal to kick back and relax after a day pounding the streets of Oxford. Trees line this well laid out site, pitches are level and a good range of facilities are available.

Walk, cycle or catch the bus (there’s a stop right outside the site) into the city and you’ll find plenty to see and do. Don’t miss the University Museum of Natural History (the most complete remains of any single dodo are here) and the Pitt Rivers and Ashmolean Museums, the latter has 67 galleries to explore. A guided walking tour is the best way to see the University colleges and botanic Garden. There are themed tours too including an Inspector Morse and a Harry Potter Tour. And a punt on the River Cherwell is a must.

The countryside around Oxford has its own delights. Not to be missed is the magnificent Baroque house – Blenheim Palace and its fine parkland in Woodstock. The Oxfordshire Museum is here too and tells the story of Oxfordshire through its galleries and exhibitions. The Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens is also worth a visit.

This really is the best of all the campsites in Oxford.

A fab site, easy to access from A34. Well sign-posted. Very clean and staff very friendly. Buses every 10 mins to Oxford City Centre until 11pm from car park opposite site. Lots to see in the city (try the Ashmolean Museum - it's free, and great meal at Cote restaurant). Limited facilities on-site so not really suitable for young people unless you just want to see the city. Highly recommended for short city break.

The managers of site are there if you need them but otherwise leave you to enjoy your stay. It felt like you were in the country yet you are a short bus ride from the beautiful university city of Oxford. Park and ride opposite site and the site is kept safe and secure and very clean with all amenities in good working order I was really impressed.

Good Bus access to town.

Good Bus access to town. Pleasant walk to town also ( use pathway through parks far side of river - start is over Bridge on weirs Lane, which is right turn off Abingdon road at Tesco express ) . Site is easy access from A34 / A423 (A423 is the Eastern by pass - no need to try driving through Oxford which is definitely not a good idea ). Park and ride opposite very convenient too. If you like country and western Music ( we do ) Driftway CMC, Littlemore is 2 mile walk , Sunday Night weekly live band.
