Overview

Our site a mile from the attractions of Oxford city. Catch a bus from outside the site.

City break or countryside adventure, the choice is yours if you camp at our Oxford Club campsite. Located just a mile outside the centre of Oxford, the campsite is the perfect base for exploring the magnificent city of dreaming spires. Camping in Oxford doesn't get any better than this.

It’s hard to believe this pleasant bolt hole is so close to the city. It's restful ambience makes it ideal to kick back and relax after a day pounding the streets of Oxford. Trees line this well laid out site, pitches are level and a good range of facilities are available.

Walk, cycle or catch the bus (there’s a stop right outside the site) into the city and you’ll find plenty to see and do. Don’t miss the University Museum of Natural History (the most complete remains of any single dodo are here) and the Pitt Rivers and Ashmolean Museums, the latter has 67 galleries to explore. A guided walking tour is the best way to see the University colleges and botanic Garden. There are themed tours too including an Inspector Morse and a Harry Potter Tour. And a punt on the River Cherwell is a must.

The countryside around Oxford has its own delights. Not to be missed is the magnificent Baroque house – Blenheim Palace and its fine parkland in Woodstock. The Oxfordshire Museum is here too and tells the story of Oxfordshire through its galleries and exhibitions. The Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens is also worth a visit.

This really is the best of all the campsites in Oxford.

We had a lovely stay at the Oxford site. A five minute walk took us to a Park and Ride with a bus every 10 mins into the centre of Oxford ( free with our bus passes). Being close to Go Outdoors was rather handy & Tesco's is only a 10 minute walk away. We will definitely be coming again. Thank you to the Oxford team.

This site is very handy for Oxford with park and ride opposite the site . Wardens were friendly but the site needs updating . For the price it is not good value the showers and toilets were grubby and the plants around reception were half dead . It's a very busy sight and the wardens did their best . I bought wifi but had to sit outside reception to get it . If the site is not updated the prices need to be reduced

This review is for Oxford

This is a great location for Oxford, a short (1.5 miles) walk along the river to the city centre - an enjoyable walk but a busy towpath. The site is relatively small and quiet, the main issue is that the toilet block is in urgent need of refurbishment and modernisation, apparently the lease is too short to allow this to happen which is a shame. It would be a shame for this site to close, hopefully if it does, a similar location close to the city will be found. Not far along the river we found a nice restaurant, the Isis Farmhouse which served great food and is well worth visiting. Beware when entering the site, it is a sharp turn BEFORE Go Outdoors - easy to miss if you're not careful.
