A very friendly clean and tidy site, well placed for touring the Cotswolds.

A very friendly clean and tidy site, well placed for touring the Cotswolds. The only down side was the shower block which is very tired and dated, the shower cubicles are quite small and the height of the shower heads are not ideal unless you are particularly short. We spent a week on site and enjoyed ourselves and would certainly return, if in the meantime the showers were improved it would be almost perfect.

The site is very pretty and is in a rural setting with mature trees around the perimeter.

The site is very pretty and is in a rural setting with mature trees around the perimeter. We had a level, sunny pitch with electrics. The site managers were very friendly and helpful and maintained the site to a high standard. The site is located just off the main Chipping Norton to Burford road so it's well positioned for exploring the Cotswolds. There's plenty to do in the area and we went on some lovely country walks and visited some of the picturesque Cotswold villages. We also visited two of the National Trust's properties - Chedworth Roman Villa and Hidcote Manor. The site is a few minutes drive from Chipping Norton which is handy for shopping and restaurants.

We found the site easily enough - always use the maps printed off from the C&CC website.

We found the site easily enough - always use the maps printed off from the C&CC website. Showers and toilets were spotless. Pitches well spaced out but rather uneven. We were pitched close to reception but anyone further away down by the shower blocks could well have needed ear plugs to get a good nights sleep due to the traffic noise from the adjacent road. The noise issue would be my only criticism of the site and even this did not affect us too much from our pitch. Chipping Norton itself is a nice Cotswold town with a good selection of shops and restaurants etc. Lots of places of interest in easy reach and surrounded by pretty countryside. Would definitely return.
