Overview

Great site for exploring the pretty Cotswolds towns and their attractions.

Amid the honey-coloured villages of the Cotswolds is where you’ll find the Club’s charming Chipping Norton campsite. Tucked away off the beaten track, this campsite offers a mix of level and sloping pitches, surrounded by trees and dry stone walls.

If it’s peace and tranquillity you are after, this site delivers in spades. But it would a shame not to venture off site and explore the beauty of the Cotswolds. Hop in your car or catch the bus right outside the site and discover the charms of Chipping Norton itself, Chadlington, Charbury and Witney for starters.

No stay at Chipping Norton campsite should be without a visit to Stow on the Wold, Bourton-on-the- Water and Batsford. As well as brimming with charm, they boast an eclectic mix of family attractions including Birdland and a model village in Bourton. Batsford Arboretum and Hidcote Manor are also worth visiting.

Worth Noting

Most pitches are sloping so chocks will be required. The site has full recycling facilities.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

There is a Farmers’ Market on the third Saturday of the month in Chipping Norton. Several farm shops in the area sell locally grown fruit and vegetables.

Lovely clean tidy well kept site - a credit to the staff. We were told the amenities block was being upgraded winter 2016/2017. Very noisy road one side of site but enjoyed our stay - would recommend for surrounding sites and attractions.

The site is kept clean and very tidy close to walks in the countryside and easy travelling to chipping Norton Oxford and Banbury but it is close to two roads that meet in the far corner of the site these roads are very busy we had a nice 2 night stay but the traffic noise during the days and well into the night spoilt it for us if we visited again we would ask for a pitch on the top site where I believe you can hook up electric over the wall (space permitting) to sum it up it's a nice clean friendly site in a beautiful part of the country but be prepared for the traffic noise

Site is located just outside Chipping Norton.

Site is located just outside Chipping Norton. Ideally situated for touring Cotswolds and Thames valley. The best field seems to be the non electric hook up field as well away from noisy main road. Very clean facilities, would appear to only be one chemical disposal point which can be a long way to carry waste. I would definitely stay again but well away from road.

No complaints at all about this site - very friendly staff.

This review is for Chipping Norton

No complaints at all about this site - very friendly staff. The only comment is perhaps need to reinforce availability of dog area to all incomers as one unsociable camper allowed her dog to perform between us and a caravan full of young children. Can highly recommend visit to local NT Chastleton House and Garden
