Overview

Great site for exploring the pretty Cotswolds towns and their attractions.

Amid the honey-coloured villages of the Cotswolds is where you’ll find the Club’s charming Chipping Norton campsite. Tucked away off the beaten track, this campsite offers a mix of level and sloping pitches, surrounded by trees and dry stone walls.

If it’s peace and tranquillity you are after, this site delivers in spades. But it would a shame not to venture off site and explore the beauty of the Cotswolds. Hop in your car or catch the bus right outside the site and discover the charms of Chipping Norton itself, Chadlington, Charbury and Witney for starters.

No stay at Chipping Norton campsite should be without a visit to Stow on the Wold, Bourton-on-the- Water and Batsford. As well as brimming with charm, they boast an eclectic mix of family attractions including Birdland and a model village in Bourton. Batsford Arboretum and Hidcote Manor are also worth visiting.

If you'd like to go glamping then Chipping Norton Ready Camp is the perfect choice. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Worth Noting

Most pitches are sloping so chocks will be required. The site has full recycling facilities.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

There is a Farmers’ Market on the third Saturday of the month in Chipping Norton. Several farm shops in the area sell locally grown fruit and vegetables.

Chipping Norton Camping & Caravanning Site Is The Best Site I Have Been On So Far.

Chipping Norton Camping & Caravanning Site Is The Best Site I Have Been On So Far. The Staff Were Nice And Friendly And Got My Camper Van Hidden In The Bushes From The Sun. Most Sites Like You To Place Your Camper 1 Direction But They Didn't Mind That It Was Length Ways From The Heat. Facilities Were Top Notch And Very Tidy. Plenty Of Places To Walk All Around. Get Up Early And Walk Out Of The Campsite And You Can Get The Best Sunrises. I Will Be Back Very Soon.

We can't think of any ways this site can be improved, other than banning dogs.

We can't think of any ways this site can be improved, other than banning dogs. There was a small folding caravan next to ours (a 12 foot long, 2 berth Carousel) with three adults and four dogs. The dogs were very aggressive all the time and took the edge off our enjoyment. The site staff could not have been nicer (we didn't make an official complaint). A lady in a close pitch fell over, broke an arm and dislocated a shoulder (she tripped over her dog's lead) and the staff were most helpful and considerate, arranging for them to have all day to pack up and leave on their last day. This exemplifies the title of " THE FRIENDLY CLUB" We will be back ... soon. Lots of love from us both.

A lovely site for visiting the Cotswold's.

A lovely site for visiting the Cotswold's. From this site we visited Cirencester & Chedworth Roman Villa so easily accessible to local attractions. The site was simple but has everything you require. It isn't ideal for walking around with the children due to a main road but there is a bridleway only 50m from site. The toilet block was new and very clean, only four showers though. My children had great fun on the play area where they made many friends. Will return again.
