Our award-winning Club campsite at Teversal is surrounded by gloriously varied walking country. Opposite, the Silverhill Wood Country Park offers direct access to the Teversal Trails and miles of walking and cycling paths. Further afield the walking and cycling trails of the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District offer more challenges through ever changing scenery.

Water lovers are catered for at the National Watersports Centre which offers white water rafting, wake boarding, water skiing, sailing and more. Families will love Water Meadows Family Fun pool with slides and wave machine situated in Mansfield.

I recently stayed at a private site voted "best in the UK 2017". The assessors surely must have missed Teversal. Simply the best all-round site that I've stayed at. The wardens are really friendly, the site spotless, easy to get to and a walkers/cyclists paradise straight from the site. Kiddies play area looked really good (but at over 60 I decided not to try them!). As for the toilet block, wow! Facilities that wouldn't shame a decent hotel, along with automatic power showers. Even though the site was almost full, it was always spotlessly clean. TV signal fair, mobile signal iffy (O2), didn't try site wi-fi. Plenty of pubs nearby, some dog-friendly, with highly-rated food. Chippy, Chinese take-away and a Co-op with cashpoint down the road. Hardwick Hall and Bolsover Castle a short drive away. I had a really selfish thought before posting this and that was "don't tell everyone or else you'll never get back in again" but I have. Definitely be returning, if I can get in now!

Immaculate campsite which suited us and our four Cairn Terriers - great walking at Silverhill across the road. Hardwick Hall grounds were lovely - we also visited Matlock and Matlock Bath - Chesterfield and loved the surrounding countryside probably at its best as it's Springtime. There were endless trails and walks which we hope to be able to return and do. The Carnarvon Pub only a short stroll from site and The Shoulder at Huftoft - a short drive were both good for food. All together a really lovely stay.

We have just returned from a week at the campsite, we were made to feel very welcome by the wardens on arrival and shown to a lovely pitch. the site is laid out in a way where the pitches are not on top of one another. The wash and toilet facilities are immaculate and the full bathroom in the shower area is a fantastic idea. All the morning jobs can be done in the one area. Across the road is a park full of walks and cycle tracks that range from a mile or two to a full blown days hiking or cycling. The beautiful Hardwick Hall is within walking distance of the site and both the new hall and old hall are ripe for exploring. At the bottom of the hill is The Hardwick Inn serving good food and beer and also accommodating well behaved dogs in a room inside. There is definitely enough to do to occupy all ages in and around Teversal and we will definitely be returning to continue or adventures.

“Luxury with a capital L. We were lucky to get a late booking which I am sure is only because word has not go out yet. Judging by the attention they were drawing from other campers it will soon! Thanks to Jayne and Chris for a wonderful weekend.”
