Enjoy nature walks, cycle trails and the Peak District from this site.
Our award-winning Club campsite at Teversal is surrounded by gloriously varied walking country. Opposite, the Silverhill Wood Country Park offers direct access to the Teversal Trails and miles of walking and cycling paths. Further afield the walking and cycling trails of the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District offer more challenges through ever changing scenery.
Teversal is an established campsite. Hedges and greenery pepper the site which boasts fantastic amenities: auto sensor power showers, individual washrooms with shower, toilet and sink, parent and child facilities, a well-equipped laundry and washing up area and children’s play area. The shop is well stocked and morning papers are available. There’s even a dog/bike shower.
If you can tear yourself away from the campsite, there are numerous attractions close by. The National Trust’s Hardwick Hall and Chatsworth House and Gardens are within easy reach as is Bolsover Castle and Newstead Abbey, the former home of the poet Lord Byron.
Water lovers are catered for at the National Watersports Centre which offers white water rafting, wake boarding, water skiing, sailing and more. Families will love Water Meadows Family Fun pool with slides and wave machine situated in Mansfield.

Can't rate this site highly enough. Everything from the team with their big smiles and warm welcome to the condition of the site is more than five stars could ever convey.
The facilities are excellent; underfloor heating in the showers with seemingly endless hot water, great little laundry room that isn't a rip off and well laid out and tidy waste and recycling.
The site has a wide, open entrance, but if you have a huge (and I mean really huge) unit some of the approach roads aren't expansive, although they are used by articulated lorries and the like.
Lots of easily accessible walking and cycling paths surround the site. They are totally traffic free so are safe for those who prefer a more leisurely amble or cycle.
If you're in the are go - you won't be disappointed!

This site is on the edge of quite a built up area of towns/villages. It is however literally across the road from a country park which is ideal if you have a dog. Hardwick Hall & Estate (NT) is a couple of miles down the road and well worth a visit. A little further afield is Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park, the latter of which is a lovely area for a walk, particularly if you prefer a less undulating stroll. There is a gastro pub 5 mins walk up the road - I found the food very good and the staff friendly (only downside was no dogs in pub, understandable though as it is essentially a restaurant). Main reason of my review though is to applaud the staff at the site. I have been to a fair few club sites and the staff at Teversal are by far the most cheerful and helpful I've come across. It really does make a difference to your stay so thank you!

We had a enjoyable break at Teversal. It unfortunately rained for our first few days, which made our pitch boggy even though it was hard standing? Facilities were good, it's a very tidy site with friendly wardens. I was impressed with the well organised recycling/bin area & shower/toilet block. One thing I would say that needs addressing is the water pressure, when filling your water hog up! It's painfully slow to fill due to poor water pressure..... to the point where you could leave your water carrier filling & come back to get it 10 minutes later, by this time it might only just be full!!! The showers are modern & clean, but the shower water temp was tepid which made your shower experience after being out in the cold not a very pleasant one! The shower sensors were also irritating, as the shower would stop every few minutes, leaving you covered in soap frantically trying to get the shower on again by having to move around!? Other than that, Teversal is situated in a great location next to a country park which has oodles of cycling/running/dog walking potential. A Country pub is situated 5 min walk down the road. Teversal is also Close to supermarkets, and a designer outlet village which is well worth a visit. I would say that Teversal is a good site for active families - I can imagine its lovely in the summer months, just somewhat challenging in the winter months for people with 3 children & a dog....as the site gets quite mucky when the weather is bad, as my washing machine is finding out!

Whilst the site is worth a visit in itself, the surrounding area is a little urban. Consequently most places worth visiting are so,e distance apart from Hardwich Hall which was close by.
There is a restaurant/ inn near by, but it does not allow dogs and is more of a restaurant than a pub.
