Stayed at Abbey view house site on the 23rd may. Originally booked for 3 nights but ended up staying for 4.
Sat nav took me right to the site no problem.
I was very happy to find the site was in a secluded place surrounded by fields. The only noise we had was from the farm over the road which was nothing to complain about.
The site looks down over Whitby town and the views are gorgeous. I loved waking up every morning to them.
Facilities were very clean. One toilet and one shower in each of the males and females.
Also undercover washing up sinks were brilliant.
If I was being honest I thought the price per night was a little expensive for the facilities that were there. But I don't think it would stop me going back for a couple of nights.
Nice walk down to robin hoods Bay but on the way back the hills almost killed my girlfriend so we got a taxi to take us back to the site for 6.
All in all 5star site which I would highly recommend.

With in minutes of us getting the awning up Kay was round to clear up the mess she had spotted that the previous visitors dog had left, we were well impressed.
And on leaving we had a faulty indicator light on the caravan, I'd no sooner got the screwdriver out and Alex was there to offer assistance again we were very impressed.
We found the site very friendly with good views over Whitby, and although on a slight slope the caravan was easy to level, we had a very peaceful stay. Five stars do not do this site justice it deserves, it is off the scale.
Well done to Alex and Kay they know what is needed for campers to have a good stay.

We arrived following sat nav not the directions given. Do not do this, the other route is up a very steep windy lane which became too steep for our motor home, the front wheels left the ground and we were stuck with the rear end near a stone wall with a large drop. It was so steep an attending police car also got stuck, we needed to be towed up the hill to the site. The route shown on the site description is easy however. We had a stressful journey and were relieved to find a friendly welcome and a lovely clean, well equipped site. The views would have been glorious had we not been shrouded in sea mist when we visited. Washrooms were very clean and nicely decorated with plenty of hot water. I would definitely recommend this site. Owners were friendly and when I rang to enquire about forgotten boots they agreed to post them. Its little touches like this that show they care about the site and the visitors. If I'm ever here again I would come to the same site.
