last minute booking warm welcome site easy enough to find but overall disappointed We felt the grass was too long for tent pitches and although the one toilet one shower was clean and tidy the lighting was on timer and whilst showering the lights went off I was left fumbling in the dark for my towel and had to step out of the shower cubicle into main area to reactivate lights and carry on with my shower. Although it does clearly say the site is next to a dairy farm we were not expecting to be woken up at 6am each morning from very noisy cows in the next field. Our tent was pitched by the newly planted hedging and was next to a busier than expected road which also woke us. One further note is the site is quite high up and we found although sunny in Whitby it was overcast and misty on site and very exposed to wind

One of the best sites you can visit This is our 2nd visit here and will be back again. The site ground was on the damp side so Alex gave us the hard standing at the field top, we set up with the wind gusting 20-30mph with my wife trying not to do a Mary Poppins as she hung on to the awning. And as usual for us as soon as the awning was up the weather changed the wind dropped and the sun came out for 4 glorious days, whod have guessed it! not us, as we basked in the sun in fleecy lined trousers, woolly jumpers and water proof hats. as before the facilities are top notch and can not be faulted.

Lovely place, lovely break. We arrived before Easter and were welcomed on arrival.

Lovely place, lovely break. We arrived before Easter and were welcomed on arrival. The grass pitches were very wet so we were put up on the hardstanding, but chose not to put the awning up, although there would be enough space. Very easy to travel to Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and walkable or bus-able, although we didnt take these options.... Lovely views over the sea and Whitby, although it is on the horizon... The site has one toilet and shower for each sex, but has recently won the best facilities for a Certificated Site, but no mention of this on the C&C club website, which seems remiss. The facilities are always clean, but a bit chilly when we stayed. Loved the site and think well be back shortly.....

This is a great site with fantastic views towards Whitby. We were welcomed on arrival, and the boss was very friendly and informative. Very handy for Whitby, You must eat at the Three Swallows Public House. The food is fantastic, with a wide-ranging menu. Loved the Alpaccas! Because they've had a wet winter they put us on the hard-standing, and we were able to put up our awning - which was great. We'll be back!!!!!!!!!!!!
