The surrounding area

Our Scarborough Club Site lies just north of the Victorian seaside resort of the same name and is perfectly located for exploring the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast and the North York Moors National Park.

West of the campsite North Riding Forest Park (or Dalby Forest as it is also known) has many waymarked trails for walkers and mountain bikers. You can go orienteering here too. Go Ape! offers tree top adventures with ropes and zip wires or, if you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, enjoy the forest on a Segway.

Head north to Staintondale for the Shire Horse Centre. Learn about the North Yorkshire coast at the Ravenscar Coastal Centre. From here it’s a three-mile beach walk to the pretty fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay. Whitby, ten miles further on, offers the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Lifeboat Museum and Whitby Abbey. Catch a train to Grosmont, the terminus, for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. This 18-mile heritage line runs across the National Park to Pickering. Jump off at Goathland or Aidensfield for TV's Heartbeat fans.

Stayed over the Easter weekend, weather wasn't bad overall.

This review is for Scarborough

Stayed over the Easter weekend, weather wasn't bad overall. Chip shop onsite currently closed due to personal extenuating circumstances , hopefully will reopen later on in the season. Site quiet easy to get to if towing an outfit. Bus service from outside of site if wanting to go into Scarobrough . Great site for everyone in family. Pub out of back gate serving food, dogs allowed in after 20:00. Great location for walking Cleveland Way , hilltop walk into Scarobrough. Unsuitable for those with motOrbility issues, push chairs, young children. Toilets dated but usual clubs high cleanliness. Toilet block nearest to housing estate were cold, other blocks warm. Showers of high decent pressure. Pitches well spaced out. Site has glamping tests which looked fun! Recreational room and adequate children's play equipment well used by children. Reception staff helpful also sold basic food items. Information room had loads of info in it , well organised. Arrived on Good Friday and there was a massive queue along the road of customers waiting to check in. Staff were well organised, professional and swiftly checked people in. One big issue of the he weekend was the electric kept tripping each day. Hopefully this is not a long term issue and will soon be rectified.
