This is a five van site with a camping field adjacent to it. There is electric hook up on both fields and the toilet facilities are available for both campers and caravanners. The site was busy whilst we were there but the toilet facilities were always clean and available. Manouvering on the caravan site is very tight and would suggest that it is not really suitable for twin axle caravans. A motor mover would be a benefit but on my visit there were plenty of willing volunteers prepared to lend a hand. The camping field is spacious with room for about twelve large tents or motor homes. The site owners were very friendly and accommodating. They live on site so were ready available if you had any questions. The site is in the middle of Thornton le Dale where there are some lovely tea rooms and pubs all selling food. There is also a fish and chip shop in the village. The site is handy for Dalby Forest, Pickering and the North Yorkshire Moors. There is well stocked information room on the site with lots of information about what there is to see and do in the area. You could stay on the site and cycle or walk into Dalby Forest. This was a good site and I would recommend it to other club members.
