When we arrived it was forgotten we had even booked, we pulled up to an empty field, no toilet, no shower (which we knew) no other campers. When asked where the toilet we were told that one had been orderd (1pm) on arrival. We were not happy and asked for money back as it stated on the website there was a toilet block, we then felt guilty that a toilet had been ordered so decided to we would stay. We went out for the day, came back still no toilet, went out for tea came back still no toilet, finally the campsite owner came to tell us it won't be arriving until 7:30am the next morning, i find this very unacceptable. Yes they were welcoming offering tea and coffee when we arrived, but we hardly saw the camp owner to ask if we were ok ect... i think 30 for 2 nights for just a field was a bit expensive, espcially when we went camping a month earlier and it was 11 a night and there was a shower block, toilet block and park for the kids.
On our arrival we were welcomed by the owner offering tea/coffee and cake while we set up. After planning on staying at a local bigger site we came across this site which was smaller, peaceful site, more of what we wanted. Offering a water tap and a toilet we were happy for our 2 night stay. Great coastal paths to Scarborough and Filey and just 15 minute walk to Cayton bay. We were happy to pay the £25 per night as it was bank holiday and was quiet however on the second night it did get rather busy and some cars couldn't drive or park next to their unit as was too close to each other. Owner did mention she was thinking of having a shower and toilet block put in which would be better. This site is great for minimal facilities. Overall very happy with our stay.

We asked for an electric hookup and told no problem. When we arrived a few other campers where having a problem as the "hookup" is a extension lead from her garage. We had to go into Filey to pay for an adapter so our hookup would fit her 3 pin plug extension. The only facility she has is a single portaloo. All the other facilities quoted are off site and nothing to do with this site. The field is small and adjacent to a cow field on one side and the main road is approximately 40 yards away. Longer than two days without shower facilities isn't for us. Had a good time with the company we had but wont be returning. We had a bucket covering her extension lead incase it rained!!!

I found the owners of this site very friendly and helpful,if you need to get away from it all then this is the place to be.with easy access to scarborough and coastal walks.perfect if you have a bike.I would have stayed longer than my three nights if I had found the site sooner.and will definitely go there again.the access road is not narrow like some so its perfect if you have a wide van like mine.the post code put me on the road just short of the site entrance on the right.I would recommend this site to anyone.
