The Paddock at Redcliffe
has the following facilities on or around the site.
Grass only pitch (no electric)
A well-sheltered site
Chemical toilet disposal point
Public transport within 1 mile
Small paddock next to house. Very basic showers and toilets. Definitely more than a GENTLE slope as described
Rural setting, ideally situated for exploring Filey and Scarborough, nice views but very close to main road so couldn't get away from road noise. Next door to farm with fantastic farm shop and restaurant. The site is described as gently sloping but we required 3 x 2" planks to level the caravan! The electric hook up is in the owner's garage, which she unplugged on Monday morning when she went to work. Toilets and showers very basic (ongoing project). Elsan disposal disgustingly dirty and covered by a wooden box. Unlikely to return.

We thought that 16 per night was expensive especially as we were told it was 5 extra per night for electricity and 2 for an awning. There was a very basic ( plywood construction ) unisex shower/toilet block with no privacy and not even anywhere to hang clothes in the shower cubicle.
There are better value
CL and CSs in the area

When we arrived it was forgotten we had even booked, we pulled up to an empty field, no toilet, no shower (which we knew) no other campers. When asked where the toilet we were told that one had been orderd (1pm) on arrival. We were not happy and asked for money back as it stated on the website there was a toilet block, we then felt guilty that a toilet had been ordered so decided to we would stay. We went out for the day, came back still no toilet, went out for tea came back still no toilet, finally the campsite owner came to tell us it won't be arriving until 7:30am the next morning, i find this very unacceptable. Yes they were welcoming offering tea and coffee when we arrived, but we hardly saw the camp owner to ask if we were ok ect... i think 30 for 2 nights for just a field was a bit expensive, espcially when we went camping a month earlier and it was 11 a night and there was a shower block, toilet block and park for the kids.
On our arrival we were welcomed by the owner offering tea/coffee and cake while we set up. After planning on staying at a local bigger site we came across this site which was smaller, peaceful site, more of what we wanted. Offering a water tap and a toilet we were happy for our 2 night stay. Great coastal paths to Scarborough and Filey and just 15 minute walk to Cayton bay. We were happy to pay the £25 per night as it was bank holiday and was quiet however on the second night it did get rather busy and some cars couldn't drive or park next to their unit as was too close to each other. Owner did mention she was thinking of having a shower and toilet block put in which would be better. This site is great for minimal facilities. Overall very happy with our stay.
