In the Northumberland National Park, perfect for outdoor activities and great days out.

Located on the edge of the Northumbrian National Park – considered to be the most tranquil place in the UK – our Bellingham Club campsite will appeal to campers looking for relaxing break as well as those seeking adventure.

This is a level, well maintained campsite with modern facilities, a well-stocked site shop, short dog walk and a children’s play area. In addition to its 70 pitches, the campsite offers glamping accommodation in one of its four wooden camping pods. The pods are insulated with sheep's wool and ideal for autumn/winter camping breaks and are also popular with backpackers and cycle campers.

For those who do arrive without a vehicle, buses to Hexham stop outside the site.

There are numerous walking and cycling opportunities from nearby Bellingham. You can walk from the town to the magical Hareshaw Linn waterfall through ancient woodland. There’s more walking to be enjoyed from Greenhaugh village or spend the day in Kielder Water and Forest Park, northern Europe’s largest man-made lake to the north west of Bellingham campsite. Here you can walk, cycle, sail, canoe and water ski. You can view Northumbria’s dark skies here too at the Kielder Observatory.

For history lovers, you can spend an interesting day at Hadrian’s Wall and Alnwick Castle and gardens.

The site is a short walk into Bellingham and we then walked on to Hareshaw Linn.

The site is a short walk into Bellingham and we then walked on to Hareshaw Linn. The tearoom, called the Carriages, is lovely after the long walk to the waterfall. The last time we stayed we ate at one of the local hotels and enjoyed a free swim the next day in their indoor pool! We stayed here because friends were visiting and we had recommended it. I hope it was a good site for them. The facilities are excellent with clean heated bathroom facilities and a small park.

We were made very welcome on arrival, although we were a bit late.

We were made very welcome on arrival, although we were a bit late. Good facilities and lovely setting in woodland. Bellingham Village has a good selection of shops and is a short (pleasant) walk from the site. Grass and hard standing pitches are flat and level. Site not too big, although busy when we arrived there was plenty of space between pitches. Tents, caravans and motor homes mixed together without any problems. We look forward to our next visit!

Firstly, the site was exceptionally clean, with a nice little walk into the village.

Firstly, the site was exceptionally clean, with a nice little walk into the village. Kielder was about a 15min drive along very picturesque roads. All very nice. A lovely place to visit. Unfortunately, I found some of the staff on site to be quite unapproachable & humbly suggest a bit of work needed in the customer service department. The rules on-site were a little too rigorously enforced. Ok, no one wants outright chaos & drunken debauchery throughout the night, especially those with children, but I felt it very difficult to relax when the owners were around & this awkwardness tarnished a nice few days in the area. If you have kids, you may wish to consider other places to stay.

This was our second visit to this site which tells you we really like it.

This review is for Bellingham

This was our second visit to this site which tells you we really like it. It is ideally placed for Kielder, the Roman wall and also for the Northumberland coast. They were experiencing some problems with a boiler whilst we were there but kept everyone informed and also endeavoured to provide as much hot water as was possible under the circumstances. Well done! Needless to say we will be visiting again.
