In the Northumberland National Park, perfect for outdoor activities and great days out.

Located in the Northumberland National Park and Northumberland International Dark Sky Park – considered to be the most tranquil place in the UK – our Bellingham Club campsite will appeal to campers looking for a relaxing break as well as those seeking adventure.

This is a level, well maintained 70 pitch campsite with modern facilities including a shop, short dog walk, children’s play area, warm indoor social space, kitchen, drying room, family wet room and games room.

There are numerous walking and cycling opportunities from the site. Walk to the busy village of Bellingham (20 mins) and then to the magical Hareshaw Linn waterfall through ancient woodland. Enjoy a walk along the North Tyne riverbank, fish for salmon, cycle the quiet lanes to Greenhaugh village, or spend the day in Kielder Water and Forest Park, northern Europe’s largest man-made lake (25 mins drive). At Kielder, there are many cycle trails, fishing and watersports. As befits an International Dark Sky Park, the area has exceptionally low light pollution and offers breathtaking night skies. A visit to the Kielder Observatory takes you closer to the stars.

History lovers will enjoy Hadrian’s Wall, Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the remarkable National Trust properties of Cragside and Wallington.

We stayed here recently for eight nights, the longest we have ever stayed on a single campsite.

We stayed here recently for eight nights, the longest we have ever stayed on a single campsite. We had originally planned a three night stay but, on finding how great the site was, the staff were most helpful in securing us a place for the rest of our holiday. We have always found CCC staff most friendly and helpful but this team beat all the others hands down! What a lovely team of staff, ensuring that everything was as it should be and continually at work on the site doing improvements. The facilities were excellent and kept immaculately clean. There is a small shop on site with essentials but there is also a Coop within walking distance in the village. We were lucky to catch Stage 2 of the Tour of Britain and the weekend BAA music festival, adjacent to the site. Bellingham is a lovely little town, within easy walking distance, and has lots of lovely places to eat and a good variety of shops. It also has a very interesting Museum and lovely Railway Carriage Tearoom. Kielder Forest is near by with excellent cycling and walking routes. The site is wonderfully located for many of Northumbria's attractions. We still have more things to see and visit in Northumbria and will be booking back in here on our next visit.

This is a very busy site, but still good space between vans. Facilities good.short walk into village for amenities. Only down side is the site doesn't drain very well at the bottom of field. It did rain pretty heavy ,we were on hard standing which water didn't drain away, this meant the awning floor was standing in water. The staff did come and try to sort problem. Beautiful area for walks .

We greatly enjoyed our stay on this lovely site in wonderful countryside.

We greatly enjoyed our stay on this lovely site in wonderful countryside. Every member of the staff team was friendly and helpful at all times, and the facilities are exceptional and well looked after. The drying room, kitchen and eating/social area are a particular advantage if it's wet or you are restricted in what you can cook! We had a lovely spacious pitch at the far edge of the site which was very peaceful. The central tent area is more 'bustly' but it was always quiet at night. The background noise tended to be sheep, cows, woodpeckers and, at night, owls! Rabbits also were much in evidence around the site, which was fun! Within an hour's drive of the site there is much to see and do, especially the sights along Hadrian's Wall. Cragside and Wallington (National Trust) are also well worth a visit. Kielder Water has fantastic scenery and walks, and slightly further afield, Alnwick and the coast are also worth visiting. The observatory activities at Kielder seem to book up quite far in advance though. There are also a number of lovely walks from the site itself, for which, helpfully, laminated maps are provided. The village of Bellingham is a pleasant walk and has everything you need, including pubs, a small co-op, a butchers and an 'old fashioned' bakery selling great pies and cakes! All in all this is a top class site which we would definitely return to - frequently, if we lived nearer! Thank you to all the team who helped make it such a great holiday.
