Had a great stay, 1st time there, Lady Caroline was an excellent hostess, relaxed and friendly facilities adequate. Perfectly situated for the stunning Northumberland coast, Cheviot hills and wonderful historic towns, in 40 years of coming here i still find somethingnew to marvel at, and this was one of those times. Plenty of walking on the farm for the dogs learning about horses and crop gathering, tons of golden corn, big skies and the weather was brilliant, which helped a lot. See you Lady Caroline.

A lovely quiet country site which provides a great base to launch your visit to the area from. This is a small quiet site, slightly off the beaten track, on a working farm with a fabulous owner. We were made so welcome on our arrival and pointed to a shack which had every conceivable tourist information brochure for the surrounding area. Facilities are exactly as described in the site seeker and were spotless. There are several pubs in walking distance and the X18 bus will stop at request outside the gate to take you to Alnwick in one direction and Seahouses in the other - very cheap. Alnwick is well worth a visit with the Castle, gardens and Border books being highlights. Seahouses is worth a visit and you can take a good boat trip to the Farne Islands. Also nearby (we visited on our travel to the site) are the National Trust properties of Cherryburn and Cragside.

Lovely quiet site Lovely friendly welcome by Caroline.

Lovely quiet site Lovely friendly welcome by Caroline. Nice view of the sea on the right hand side and level'ish. The cabin houses the information centre and next door is the toilet/washroom. After being let down by a taxi firm Caroline son went out of his way and gave us a lift back from Alnwick Castle late at night which was really appreciated.

Lovely owner..

Lovely owner..spotless site Arrived to find a reasonably level site with very easy access and easy to find (esp due to sign outside placed by owner) Caroline is just lovely, very friendly and so helpful. For the first few days our visit was slightly tainted (as school hols) by a few unruly kids who thought jumping our dog pen / enclosure would be a good game. Theres little to do on site for kids as a bit remote and quiet (lovely for us) Only facilities are a single toilet & sink which are kept SPOTLESS. Theres a fab information booth too, water and electric and a nice clean disposal point. My two & only criticisms (which are beyond the control of owners) are that it's very exposed to the wind (nice sea view though) and because its a working farm it can be a bit noisy early mornings (lol)... Occasionally during the day with farm vehicles around and about - This is definitely negated by the plus side of everything.
