Enjoy this quiet site in an area known for its beaches, birds and castles.

Stunning views, sweeping sandy beaches, abundant wildlife and a dramatic coastline steeped in history are all accessible from our Dunstan Hill Club campsite. Situated just a mile from the North Northumberland Heritage Coast, this rural campsite is a restful base from which to explore the popular ‘castle coast’.

The spacious, mainly level campsite is bordered by trees and offers a mix of hardstand and grass pitches. Facilities are clean and tidy and campers can expect toilets and showers, parent and baby room, a laundry and separate washing up area and a children’s play area.

A bonus is the pleasant woodland walk to the nearby beach and village of Craster – home of the kipper. Visit Dunstanburgh Castle north of here, the backdrop to the glorious, safe sandy expanse of Embleton Bay.

The imposing Bamburgh Castle overlooks the Farne Islands – the summer ‘home’ of more than 100,000 pairs of breeding seabirds and later in the year the islands become the pupping grounds to a colony of grey seals.

South of our Dunstan Hill campsite is Alnwick Castle, probably best known for its role as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. Horticulture fans will love the gardens home to a giant holly serpent and some of the world’s most poisonous plants.

Beadnell Bay, a paradise for water sport lovers and Seahouses, a colourful fishing port are both worth visiting.

Worth Noting

Please note there is no space for ball games during busy periods. A fish and chip van visits twice a week.

A fantastic site next to amazing beaches.

This review is for Dunstan Hill

A fantastic site next to amazing beaches. Newly refurbished toilet blocks are excellent and very clean with great family shower rooms. Pitches are well spaced and good hard standing. Lots of super places near by such as Bamburgh, dunstanburgh castle, Holy Island... I could keep going- a wonderful part of the uk! Staff could not have been more helpful, sorting a baby bath for our little boy who hates showers. I needed tea bags for visitors coming for the day and was even given a few tea bags in the shop rather than buy a massive box- staff that go above and beyond- thank you! We will be back next year but for longer!

Very warm welcome from staff on arrival, directed to nice sunny & level pitch.

Very warm welcome from staff on arrival, directed to nice sunny & level pitch. The new facilities were still having there 'snagging' problems but nearly finished. They were kept VERY clean, being done every evening in addition to usual closure times. Pleasant 10min walk to Northumberland Coast Path through wood & fields from site. Worth the hours walk North to 'The Ship Inn' at Low Newton, for lovely lunch & home brewed beer! (book early for evening meals). Good bus service from the gate for Berwick & Alnwick, both well worth a day out, Alnwick Castle & gardens are wonderful. Just one wee problem, mobile phone signal problematic, though the small mound by the car park is called 'mobil hii' & a signal can usually be got from there! Our bird feeder was well used including gold finches. Thanks to all the team for a most relaxing stay.

This was our 5th visit to Dunstan Hill and as always Sheens, Bob and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The site is very well run and the new refurbished toilets and showers are first class. Although the weather changeable it didn't deter us from enjoying our 12 night stay. We enjoy leaving our car on site and taking the various coastal and country walks around the area. We will definitely return
