This is the second time we have visited this site we found it by chance on the uk camping site ,the unit we used was a tent, Kieth and Jane are very nice , nothing to much trouble. there is a fishing lake, and the field is flat, showers and toilets were spotless both times we have been..they dont have a washing area for pot washing but they are working on that, The site is about 7 miles from Cleethorpes,

What a lovely site. We've been for the first time this weekend and already booked to go again. The welcome is lovely and a really friendly greeting. Smashing site. Flat and easy to park and child free by the lakeside. Just what we like! Lovely walks for the dog too.

It's all down to personal preference isn't it? This site has a loyal following and I'm not going to disagree with anything they have said, but I just want to register a few niggles. On the first day, the loo paper roll had fused together with moisture in one cubicle and this remained unsorted for the duration of the stay, writing off one of two toilet cubicles, plus it's quite a bleak toilet block too, a bit cold and unwelcoming. The CDP is also the grey water point and you have to somehow lift your full waste water up onto a ledge to empty it which is difficult. The electric is on a meter which is a bit of a faff, and there are a lot of geese and chickens which wander around the site which is nice to watch, but does mean you are rolling your water barrels through a lot of goose poo whilst going to and from the water tap. None of this is life threatening of course, it's just that this place had quite a few things that bug me personally. Otherwise - very nice people, quiet site, and lovely lake.
