Sandringham Club campsite is in a delightfully secluded spot, within the grounds of the Royal Estate in Norfolk.

Campers will love the tranquillity offered by this woodland site where many pitches are set among trees. Away from the site nature and RSPB reserves and the sandy beaches of the north Norfolk coast including Hunstanton and Brancaster will keep all family members entertained.

You won’t have to venture to far from your unit to find things to do at this Club Site. The Sandringham Estate, the country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen, has more than 60 acres of gardens and 600 acres of woodland and heath – over a quarter of which make up the country park which is open to the public. There’s also a visitor centre, a restaurant and a museum of royal memorabilia and vehicles.

Quiet roads and forest tracks around the site are ideal for walkers and dog walkers. Cyclists too can enjoy the quiet roads and Norfolk Coast Cycleway which passes the site.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Nice campsite but no peace and quiet due to the work taking place on the roads on site. The workmen blocked us in and took ages to move their vehicle. Will return but only when they've gone.

We stayed over the weekend of storm Katie and were very concerned with the pitch we had been allocated as behind us there were a number of trees that had fallen, a sleepless Saturday night worrying about the trees (very shallow roots) during the storm. When I enquired if the fallen trees had been managed down or simply blown down the reception just simply didn't know and actually smiled at our predicament suggesting they must be okay as they hadn't fallen overnight . Maybe my concern didn't seem serious enough but surely there is a point when a risk assessment should be taken on the trees so close to pitches? I emailed the club about this on my return but have heard nothing. So just be mindful of pitches close to the treeline by the road that the trees are unmanaged and if there is a storm blowing seeing them sway through the night light can be very concerning. That said excellent stay and perfect peace and quiet. Disappointed with the clubs lack of concern and will consider this before renewing my membership next.

We have been visitors to this site since the 1990s before becoming members ten years ago and come as many times in the year as possible; it is only an hour or so from home and its relaxed and wooded setting must make it one of the jewels in the Club's crown. On our most recent visit it was somewhat disappointing to see that a lot of the site's character is being gradually eroded. I understand that hard standings enable the site to be used throughout the year (but please do not put in too many!) so it was worrying to see wooden kerbs being fitted to the access roads. I trust that the site is not going to turn into a black asphalted housing estate like the site next door! As a consequence, on returning to our 'van one evening we were confronted by an unmarked and unguarded trench in front of our pitch denying easy access. The following morning at 8.30 a group of contractors turned up and proceeded to insert the dreaded kerbing. On our return that evening we found that the trench had not been filled in and the men failed to turn up the following day (Friday). We were due to leave on the Saturday and found it extremely difficult to hook up and drive off over an open trench. There were several areas that were left with unmarked open ditches. I believe the site team marked off some of them but where were the contractors? Surely this work ought to have been completed before the Easter break at least.

We just love this site great location for all you need to do, we did a lot of walking so it suited us very well. The only thing I would add is that when we were there the contractors had still not finished the road works that were supposed to be finished by Easter. Although this did not spoil our enjoyment it really should have been completed on time
