Pitch up in the grounds of the secluded Sandringham Estate.

Sandringham Club campsite is in a delightfully secluded spot, within the grounds of the Royal Estate in Norfolk. Campers will love the tranquillity offered by this woodland site where many pitches are set among trees.

Away from the site nature and RSPB reserves and the sandy beaches of the north Norfolk coast including Hunstanton and Brancaster will keep all family members entertained.

You won’t have to venture to far from your unit to find things to do at this Club Site. The Sandringham Estate, the country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen, has more than 60 acres of gardens and 600 acres of woodland and heath – over a quarter of which make up the country park which is open to the public. There’s also a visitor centre, a restaurant and a museum of royal memorabilia and vehicles.

Quiet roads and forest tracks around the site are ideal for walkers and dog walkers. Cyclists too can enjoy the quiet roads and Norfolk Coast Cycleway which passes the site.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite.

Sandringham Club Site is very well maintained and is an attractive site surrounded by the forest with well placed trees for shade and shelter within the grounds. The wardens were great and very informative about this area and other sites around the UK. The facilities were well placed and were clean, warm and suitable. Our boiler in the motorhome failed and a very kind caravanner lent us a halogen heater which worked a treat. This just proved that it really is the Friendly Club. The Site Warden Ian gave us the number of a chap, at Wensum Caravans, that could help with the boiler, who was also very helpful and gave us the number for Truma Technical services. Unfortunately we are going to have to take it to a main dealer for repair. We really enjoyed the local area which included a walk and lunch at the Sandringham Visitor Centre Restaurant, gift shop and plant shop. Having a motorhome proved difficult for parking at Heacham and Snettisham but we had a nice bracing walk at Old Hunstanton where we parked on for free on the road. If you like walks and wildlife we would recommend Dersingham Bog and Wolferton Woods as they are very interesting. They are good for bird life and wild flowers. We will be going back in the spring/summer to see the Rhododendrons in flower and the Sundew plants that catch flies on their sticky leaves and suck the goodness out of them. The Norfolk Lavender Centre was good and we spent more than we expected on plants and other goods as there was so much to buy. On the way home we stopped for a quick look round the Hawk and Owl Trust site at Sculthorpe Moor. We will certainly go back as the bird life was fantastic and with more time to look round will be even better. As you can see, apart from the cold damp weather and a cold damp motorhome we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and will be back more than once. Being only two hours away it is ideal and the facilities and excellent wardens make it worth the drive.

This site is probably the best club site we have stayed on. Every box gets ticked. Good for cycling, walking...close to Sandringham itself. We will be back again. Recommended and thanks to the staff for the high standards they are setting.

Within easy walking distance of Sandringham visitors centre, where the food is excellent. good eating also at the Ancient Mariner at Old Hunstanton. There are numerous other eating places around, so plenty of choice. For birdwatching, RSPB Titchwell and Snettisham reserves are just a short car journey away. There are many walks along the coast, mainly flat and easy paths. The site is spacious , with firm ground, making pitching a delight. There are ample hardstandings if required. The Site Mangers are friendly and helpful and make it feel a real home from home. We will be back !
