Sandringham Club campsite is in a delightfully secluded spot, within the grounds of the Royal Estate in Norfolk.

Campers will love the tranquillity offered by this woodland site where many pitches are set among trees. Away from the site nature and RSPB reserves and the sandy beaches of the north Norfolk coast including Hunstanton and Brancaster will keep all family members entertained.

You won’t have to venture to far from your unit to find things to do at this Club Site. The Sandringham Estate, the country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen, has more than 60 acres of gardens and 600 acres of woodland and heath – over a quarter of which make up the country park which is open to the public. There’s also a visitor centre, a restaurant and a museum of royal memorabilia and vehicles.

Quiet roads and forest tracks around the site are ideal for walkers and dog walkers. Cyclists too can enjoy the quiet roads and Norfolk Coast Cycleway which passes the site.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Worth Noting

The site is now fully digital and TV reception is good.

Seasonal Canine Illness

The Animal Health Trust (AHT) advises dog owners to be vigilant when walking their pets in any woodland, especially between the months of August and November, and recommend you seek immediate veterinary advice should you be at all concerned about the health of your dog. You’ll find more information about Seasonal Canine Illness on the Sandringham Estate website.

The reason our second stay was not so good was that there was a DA meeting the weekend that we had chosen to stay before our long trip home. I was appauled that a lot of the DA members did not feel it necessary to follow the Club rules of keeping dogs on leads at all times when on site. Every time I took my border collie for a walk he was accosted by dogs out with their owners who had no regard for the rule of dogs must be on leads at all times when on site. I spoilt our stay. When I did ask one member to please put their dog on a lead the answer was they didn't have one!!!!!!! This incident has made me so disillusioned as I thought DA members would have known better. One particular morning, Sunday 23rd October within a space of about 50 metres my poor border collie was accosted by 5 different dogs none of which were on leads. I was only walking from my motorhome to the dog walking area and all these dogs were on the site not in the dog walking area.

Excellent site, quite local to us, so short journey. We visited Sandringham House which was lovely. We will definitely come back next year, we will bring our car next time and stay longer so we can explore the coast of Norfolk.

Nice and peaceful when we went, only local attraction was sandringham house and church, which were very nice plenty of areas to go for a walk if that's your thing. Shops were about a 10 minute drive away. We will be going back again perhaps in a couple of years. As we have only just started with ccc so we'll be visiting other sites. Showers and toilets are very clean only trouble was that there was only 1 toilet block working so if you needed to go then you had to wait until they had been cleaned 11/12 if you didn't make it beforehand. Apart from that we loved our stay at sanderingham camp site 9/10 from us
