Pitch up in the grounds of the secluded Sandringham Estate.

Sandringham Club campsite is in a delightfully secluded spot, within the grounds of the Royal Estate in Norfolk. Campers will love the tranquillity offered by this woodland site where many pitches are set among trees.

Away from the site nature and RSPB reserves and the sandy beaches of the north Norfolk coast including Hunstanton and Brancaster will keep all family members entertained.

You won’t have to venture to far from your unit to find things to do at this Club Site. The Sandringham Estate, the country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen, has more than 60 acres of gardens and 600 acres of woodland and heath – over a quarter of which make up the country park which is open to the public. There’s also a visitor centre, a restaurant and a museum of royal memorabilia and vehicles.

Quiet roads and forest tracks around the site are ideal for walkers and dog walkers. Cyclists too can enjoy the quiet roads and Norfolk Coast Cycleway which passes the site.

Worth Noting

We intended to stay one night but stayed 4. Easy access to the coast and bird reserves. We particularly enjoyed Snettisham where you can watch the tide come in and see hundreds of birds . Not too far to travel to places such as Wells and Holkham, which offer beautiful walks, nice little shops and good places to eat.

Only problem was with the WiFi.

This review is for Sandringham

Only problem was with the WiFi. There is a download limit which we were not aware of and only had a few hours service before we had reached our limit. We were only watching tv on a kindle so it wasn't that we were downloading lots of information. Reception for satellite is hit and miss due to the trees so the WiFi needs to be better value.

Sandringham is one of our favourite places to visit and have done so on many occasions. The team who run the site who have changed throughout the years we have visited and have always been friendly and all to happy to help with any enquires we have had. The site itself is set in a beautiful wooded surrounding and has got sufficient facilities for the area it has, but unfortunately on our last visit and this visit the facilities in which we have pitched near have not been open to us so we've had to walk to the other shower/toilet blocks so we can use them. We do understand that we have chosen our pitch and it may seem to some that this is nit picking but if the facilities are availble we think they should be open and ready for use at all times whatever the season. Apart from this little hiccup we recommend Sandringham to all and will most likely return again next year even though we may have to walk a bit further for a pampering.

This was our first year of caravanning.

This review is for Sandringham

This was our first year of caravanning. We decided to only stay locally and just have weekends away. Sandringham was the nearest site. This was a good choice as all the staff were kind and helpful. They were always cheerful and gave their time to talk and help us as we were in the infant stage. Please pass on our thanks as it was very much appreciated and we will continue with our caravanning adventures. There was more than one weekend we stayed, therefore I cannot put a precise date of the time we were there.
