Top site for fishing
A rural campsite near the city of the Norfolk Broads.
A city campsite with a rural feel describes our Norwich Club campsite. It commands a beautiful spot next to a river with walks and fishing along the banks. Its back-to-nature feel is enhanced by a small holding with chickens and geese right next door.
It’s a fairly secluded and quiet campsite and well laid out with 50 grass pitches and well maintained facilities.
This campsite is in easy reach of the city of Norwich by bike, a lovely walk along the old railway line or by bus which stops a quarter of a mile from the site. Norwich is famed for its castle and cathedral and it has more medieval churches than any other city in Western Europe. Four large malls will satisfy the fussiest shopper and there are numerous places to eat and drink.
There are walking and cycling opportunities in Whitlingham Country Park, one-and-a-half miles from the campsite. And, as well as being a haven for wildlife, there’s also a watersports centre offering windsurfing, sailing and kayaking.
The Norfolk Broads, Britain’s largest protected wetland, is within easy reach of the campsite and is home to some of the country’s rarest plants and wildlife.
Access to the riverbank for fishing during the fishing season (16 June to site closing date). Current Environment Agency rod licence is required before fishing can commence. The river can get very weedy in summer months. The site is close to the mainlin

Lots to see and do in Norwich, the Castle & Bridewell museums are excellent. If shopping's your thing you can shop till you drop. Several historic houses are only a short drive away, The National Trust's Blickling is a very popular destination. Even though Oxborough Hall is in the middle of nowhere near Swaffham it is a little gem.

We found this site to be friendly and quiet. I think there may be a rush for the shower's in the morning's as two only available in the woman's, when in hight of the season. The toilet/shower block was kept to a spotless condition 5 Stars for that.
The only pain was the tree's, they left a sticky stuff on my campervan and awning.
My dog's loved the walk by the river, but i was really anoyed by people who did not pick up after the dog pooing,SHAME ON THEM.This is one site i would visit again.

Once we'd been helped to find the site, we were made very welcome. Near to Park and Ride into city, which is useful. Shower facilities were not as numerous as we are used to; this needs to be improved. But quality and cleanliness of the block was fine; just not sufficient showers and toilets. But we shall certainly return to the site as a centre for visiting east Norfolk and Norwich.
