    Top site for beaches

Enjoy coast and countryside from this popular north Norfolk site near Cromer.

You can get a feel for the beautiful and varied Norfolk coast and countryside from our Club campsite at West Runton.

Our pretty and spacious campsite commands a secluded location close to the quaint seaside village with which it shares its name. Trees surround this beautifully maintained site. Facilities include roomy showers, a parent and child room, laundry and washing up area and a lovely dog walk.

Just a short walk from the campsite brings you to the quaint fishing village of West Runton. Its sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing while the plentiful rock pools are waiting to be explored.

For more sandy beaches, piers and promenades Sheringham, Cromer (both within walking distance of the campsite) and Caister-on-Sea tick the boxes.

A mile south of West Runton, Beacon Hill is the highest point in Norfolk. Scale the dizzy height of 300ft and you’ll be rewarded with views over the countryside and coast.

For nature lovers Blakeney Point is a must. This mix of dune, marsh and shingle is home to seals and a variety of birds. Catch a ferry from Mortson Quay to see them. There are more animals to be seen at the Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary and the Norfolk Shire Horse Centre close to the campsite.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Excellent site with good facilities.

This review is for West Runton

Excellent site with good facilities. Had a little trouble finding the site as the GPS does not recognise the postcode. We found another caravan park and asked directions but still had trouble. The site itself is great although some rigs were close together. Ideal for exploring the area and the coast. Great pub within biking distance.

A well run site with good facilities and great staff. Handy shop on site.

A well run site with good facilities and great staff. Handy shop on site. Can walk from the site in all directions along footpaths and bridleways. Only small negative points for us were no mobile signal (possibly not a downside for many but we had family reasons for wanting to be available to contact), not being able to freeze our own ice packs (there were packs for hire but we have our own larger ones), no sockets for hairdryers/straighteners (again, there was a hairdryer available to pay for but I prefer my own) and the access road being very uneven. However, none of these things would prevent us from going again as the site had far more positives. The spacious showers were absolutely ideal, the facilities were spotless and the atmosphere was tranquil even though the site was pretty full. The burgers and sausages sold at the shop were delicious and local. We had two nice meals at the Village Inn in West Runton and would recommend that (it is about 20-30 mins walk) and also enjoyed visits to Blakeney Point to see the seals (boat trip from Morston Quay), Felbrigg (national trust hall with amazing walled garden) and a day trip down the Wroxham with a boat trip on the Norfolk broads.

Third visit here and maybe another one after school holidays .

This review is for West Runton

Third visit here and maybe another one after school holidays . Something for everyone , location is fabulous , walks from site are excellent . Most people we have met over the three years are always friendly and mainly dog owners . Great play area for kids , although it would be great if they weren't playing out at 7am , maybe something could be put in place to reduce noise at the time . Other than that it's great to hear kids having s good time . We did venture out on day four of five day break in our camper , to find another motor home had been placed about two metres away from us , despite our pop up tent marking our spot and another camper advising warden where we were parked . As it was out last night we didn't bother to comment as we had such a lovely time there , we will bear it in mind if we go out in future . Other than that , a great stay .
