Top site for beaches
Enjoy coast and countryside from this popular north Norfolk site near Cromer.
You can get a feel for the beautiful and varied Norfolk coast and countryside from our Club campsite at West Runton.
Our pretty and spacious campsite commands a secluded location close to the quaint seaside village with which it shares its name. Trees surround this beautifully maintained site. Facilities include roomy showers, a parent and child room, laundry and washing up area and a lovely dog walk.
Just a short walk from the campsite brings you to the quaint fishing village of West Runton. Its sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing while the plentiful rock pools are waiting to be explored.
For more sandy beaches, piers and promenades Sheringham, Cromer (both within walking distance of the campsite) and Caister-on-Sea tick the boxes.
A mile south of West Runton, Beacon Hill is the highest point in Norfolk. Scale the dizzy height of 300ft and you’ll be rewarded with views over the countryside and coast.
For nature lovers Blakeney Point is a must. This mix of dune, marsh and shingle is home to seals and a variety of birds. Catch a ferry from Mortson Quay to see them. There are more animals to be seen at the Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary and the Norfolk Shire Horse Centre close to the campsite.
Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we
welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not
permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Great position for travelling around the north Norfolk coast. Lovely pub in West Runton.
Do not bother with the fish and chip van - very slow service, waited over an hour to get served and then the fish was way over cooked and dried up!

A beautiful site tucked away in the woods with heathland and sea views behind. The coastal villages of East and West Runton are within easy walking distance. High quality spacious toilet blocks. Showers have excellent water flow but could be a little hot especially for children. Excellent new hard standings. A super place for taking a dog.
On the down side is the unsurfaced, long and narrow entrance track which is manageable but far from ideal. The motorhome service point is difficult to access being at the side of the visitors car park. A motorhome greater than 6m long would have to reverse in and on one occasion someone had parked their car blocking the service point completely.

The huge investment in new hardstandings spoil the site. It is now mostly retirees' wheeled boxes rather than families' tents! This is particularly bizzare given the adventurous access road. Poor maintenance for the premium price paid with broken taps and loos which had to be flushed with a bucket. Staff explained that the site had only been open for a fortnight and that they weren't plumbers. Some basic skills of this sort should be a prerequisite for running a campsite. It's not at all hard so please empower your people rather than letting them hide behind excuses. Being told that other sinks are available and arguing back to gentle feedback shows a lack of customer focus, especially when the site is extremely busy over the Easter weekend.
