    Top site for beaches

Enjoy coast and countryside from this popular north Norfolk site near Cromer.

You can get a feel for the beautiful and varied Norfolk coast and countryside from our Club campsite at West Runton.

Our pretty and spacious campsite commands a secluded location close to the quaint seaside village with which it shares its name. Trees surround this beautifully maintained site. Facilities include roomy showers, a parent and child room, laundry and washing up area and a lovely dog walk.

Just a short walk from the campsite brings you to the quaint fishing village of West Runton. Its sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing while the plentiful rock pools are waiting to be explored.

For more sandy beaches, piers and promenades Sheringham, Cromer (both within walking distance of the campsite) and Caister-on-Sea tick the boxes.

A mile south of West Runton, Beacon Hill is the highest point in Norfolk. Scale the dizzy height of 300ft and you’ll be rewarded with views over the countryside and coast.

For nature lovers Blakeney Point is a must. This mix of dune, marsh and shingle is home to seals and a variety of birds. Catch a ferry from Mortson Quay to see them. There are more animals to be seen at the Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary and the Norfolk Shire Horse Centre close to the campsite.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

We followed the instruction on the site on how to access the camp site, so had no problems, road is a rough surface and single traffic but has plenty of pull in places. The site is surrounded by trees and is very well maintained. There are plenty of walks or it's great to just sit and chill. We booked just before the school holidays, and so not to many children the at the beginning of the week. So the campsite was very peaceful, however the day before we left the families began to arrive and peace we shattered. But it's a great family site and it was the start of the holidays, so if you are a couple and don't want to many children remember to book when the children are at school. We would differently visit the site again. The only one thing I would say is if you have a motorhome the service point is a little restrictive with regards to turning, you really have to reverse down to it, or reverse out back towards the lane, which is not ideal. The good points out weight that though. Great holiday!!

Most of the staff were friendly the site is large amenities good the only down side to it is a lot of the pitches are on a slope will ask for hard standing next time acess road narrow and steep most of the passing places are to small when towing a caravan and you meet simular coming other way but once on site it's OK if you like walking it's fine short drive to the beach .

What a lovely stay we had the facilities were clean and tidy and being a larger site we never had to queue in the mornings for the shower as 2 big blocks. Secluded area with a nice 5 min walk up onto the hill with a view of the sea very nice indeed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Added bonus of a fish & chip van visiting the site twice a week listen out for the air horn you can't miss it. If you are looking for a quite site it's not peaceful as lots of families but it's not off putting lots of dogs on site too including our own. I would highly recommend a stay here.
