Fantastic welcome was given to us by the owner. He offered to help us pitch our tent. It's a very well thought out site for facilities - 2 bathrooms and a kitchen with a washing machine and toaster. Very much more than you'd expect from a basics CS site. Owners were extremely considerate of campers' requirements - found us shelter as a storm forecast and close to loos as we had three children with us. We were extremely grateful for both! We chose this site as we have friends who live in the village, but here you are very well placed for all the Roman history of Caerleon, plus Newport is only a short drive and you can get to Cardiff in about 25 minutes. Very well placed location wise. We will definitely be back!

After searching many sites we came across Whitehall Farm for a break away without the children. We were greeted by Trevor on our arrival who showed us to the site and ensured we were happy with the pitch we chose(how could we not have been!). He showed us all of the facilities, including the small kitchen area with kettle, microwave and washing machine. Everything was spotless, the field mowed beautifully (my job next time Trevor!!) and in such a beautiful area. We had the most wonderful view from our caravan over the valley in one driection and Golf Course in the other. Trevor and Jane were the perfect hosts with lots of local information and walking routes. We absolutely fell in love with Whitehall Farm, all we need is an excuse to go back!

We spent three nights here and we can say it is a gem of a site.

We spent three nights here and we can say it is a gem of a site. We had a very friendly welcome from Trevor when we arrived on site. He directed us to the field and helped us pick a pitch. Then he explained where all the facilities were and showed us around. The two toilets and showers are spotless and well kept, while the kitchen area is brilliant. There can be found all local information, spare utensils, and other kitchen equipment for you to use. The views, up the valley, from here are spectacular. Trevor has gone to the trouble to mow paths around his field which allows you a very pleasant stroll of a evening looking at various views. You can walk into Caerleon in ten minutes. Here you can find a fantastic amphitheatre, barracks and bath house remains which the Romans used while occupying this town. The museums are free and have many interesting items to see. This little gem will be seeing us again.

We missed the entrance on our 1st pass, Trevor, who was waiting for us drove after us. He made us feel very welcome and showed us the facilities. The grass was well manicured and the site well maintained. There were walks in the adjoining field. Our pitch overlooking the site of the 2010 Ryder Cup had fantastic views. We will comeback for another visit.
