They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

An Adults Only and pets (max 2 per unit) paradise site enjoying panoramic views over the Usk Valley and the 2010 Ryder Cup Golf Course. Marvel at Britains only fully excavated Amphitheatre plus its Barracks, Baths, Museum etc. For the sports enthusiast there are cycle and walking paths aplenty plus numerous golf courses, the Celtic Manor courses and Caerleon being the nearest.. Wonderful very well kept site with very welcoming hosts! Immaculate surroundings in this quiet retreat. There are 2 electric showers with washing facilities, toaster kettle and everything you could need if you have forgotten anything. Trevor is exceptionally helpful and clearly takes pride in what he does. There are lots of pubs within a 10 minutes walk with stunning views overlooking Celtic manor. We took our dog who loved the fields to nun around in. Pitches are small and not entirely flat so be prepared to level up your wheels and awning. Really enjoyed ourselves and will be going back at some point!

This is the second time I have stayed at this site and I intend to keep coming back.

This review is for Whitehall Farm

This is the second time I have stayed at this site and I intend to keep coming back. It is just outside Caerleon and Newport but you would not know it. It really deserves to be listed as a "hideaway" site. The view from the site is over rolling farmland, the River Usk and the rear of the Celtic Manor golf course. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. Caerleon is a Roman town and was the biggest port in the empire apart from Rome. There is an amphitheatre and a museum with finds from excavation. Near by Caerwent was a town where the Romans traded goods from their empire with local people and also bought goods to export back. Cardiff is nearby and is a vibrant multicultural city.

Cannot fault this site, great welcome, everything we needed, wish we had stayed longer. Fantastic owners who went out of their way to assist. Fantastic views, and site. Plenty of places to eat not too far away in this historic town, we can recommend the Red Lion Pub we had a lovely meal there with good portion sizes and not too expensive. We found access ok with our touring caravan.
