Fabulous site on top of a hill near Caerleon; well laid out.

This review is for Whitehall Farm

Fabulous site on top of a hill near Caerleon; well laid out. The owner was amazingly helpful to a motor home newbie (me!). A delight. This was the first time that I had driven my new motor home on my own and I was nervous that I would not be able to set up without some difficulty as I was unfamiliar with how to set everything up. The owner was amazingly helpful! Together we found the attachment for the water, worked out how to connect to the electricity, leveled the van off. He made my weekend! As to the site - the views are amazing. you can see for miles and it is but a short walk into Caerleon with loads of pubs and places to eat and sites to see. I shall be back!

Got our new motor home the weekend before.

Got our new motor home the weekend before. The following Saturday morning the sky was blue a crisp frost on the ground so we packed the home and set off. 20 min walk and you're in the centre of town. Great pubs and restaurants. As it was my birthday we did try a couple. Fantastic. Great start to some fantastic weekends ahead

Fantastic welcome was given to us by the owner. He offered to help us pitch our tent.

Fantastic welcome was given to us by the owner. He offered to help us pitch our tent. It's a very well thought out site for facilities - 2 bathrooms and a kitchen with a washing machine and toaster. Very much more than you'd expect from a basics CS site. Owners were extremely considerate of campers' requirements - found us shelter as a storm forecast and close to loos as we had three children with us. We were extremely grateful for both! We chose this site as we have friends who live in the village, but here you are very well placed for all the Roman history of Caerleon, plus Newport is only a short drive and you can get to Cardiff in about 25 minutes. Very well placed location wise. We will definitely be back!

After searching many sites we came across Whitehall Farm for a break away without the children.

After searching many sites we came across Whitehall Farm for a break away without the children. We were greeted by Trevor on our arrival who showed us to the site and ensured we were happy with the pitch we chose(how could we not have been!). He showed us all of the facilities, including the small kitchen area with kettle, microwave and washing machine. Everything was spotless, the field mowed beautifully (my job next time Trevor!!) and in such a beautiful area. We had the most wonderful view from our caravan over the valley in one driection and Golf Course in the other. Trevor and Jane were the perfect hosts with lots of local information and walking routes. We absolutely fell in love with Whitehall Farm, all we need is an excuse to go back!
