Great site for families, toilet and shower facilities were fine.

Great site for families, toilet and shower facilities were fine. Site is fantastic value for kids, activities are included in camping price. Fantastic site, which I had previously avoided this site due to the reviews, however for families I can not fault the value for money this site is. The toilet block facilities were more than adequate and we're spotless on two days we visited. The real value is that young kids are occupied with lots of quality activities. Its not clear from the CCC website that this site is on a farm activity centre, and all the facilities are included in the price. It's worth checking the farms website to see what it has included in the camping price. Even after the park had shut (or before it opens) campers have access to many of the visitor attractions. My 3 and 7 year old didn't want to leave during the day despite the site been close to the beach. The site will not be as good value for money for campers without children or older children and maybe that is why some reviews may seem a little harsh, however for young families it cannot be faulted!

Expensive 25.

This review is for Church Farm

Expensive 25.50 night, dirty shower & toilet areas, only one shower worked but no light, had to shower in dark. No dishwashing facilities. Close to wirral coast, easy access to Liverpool by ferry from Seacombe, west Kirkby & new Brighton nice seaside areas. Church farm did not recognise us as being members of the CCC and did not give discount, they stated they were a private site! No other incentives were offered to us as members of CCC. Church farm doesn't have the facilities to be a campsite, but if your only staying 1 night you can make do!....1 Shower that works if you don't mind being in the dark. No hairdryer! Owner horrified when asked for one! Toilets & areas extremely dirty & fully of flies & cobwebs. No dishwashing area or coin op laundry area. Gents toilets had no shelf area hence difficult to place shaving stuff. It can be noisy at weekend due to wedding parties in the field. It makes for a good children's play area, several groups come at weekend to use children's activities and it has some animals, those not staying on the site are charged 5.50 per person to be able to join the activities and see the animals. We shall certainly not being going there again and would advise others not too for more than 1 overnight!

About a mile from the Wirral country park and a long footpath on an old railway line and that is really nice. The pub that is quite close is really good value for money with very good food. The site is expensive and when I told them they were expensive for what they offered they told me that the visitor attraction is reflected in the price-better facilities would be better! They charge for everything, dogs, awnings, unit, etc
