We received a warm welcome on arrival and help to reverse into our pitch.

We received a warm welcome on arrival and help to reverse into our pitch. A good size of pitch with hook-up in a secluded corner which allowed us to use a gazebo while sitting out in the very hot sun during the afternoon. The portakabin toilets are basic but clean. The drinking water was on a hose reel so it was easy to put water into the Motorhome. You had to use a bucket to empty waste water no drive over point but that wasn't a problem. No showers on the site but we knew that before we booked. Dogs are welcome on the site. I used walks along public footpaths from the site to exercise my dog. Mobile signal was good on the site. It was a great site to stop over when travelling South on the A1.

We have stayed at this site on numerous occasions and find it to be a pleasant and well maintained site and very peaceful. We find the site warden (Tim) and the proprietors of the farm very friendly and helpful. The site is not far from the village of Ryhall where a village shop and a couple of local pubs can be found. This site is situated about 2 miles from Stamford where there are Sainsburys, Lidl and Morrisons with its petrol station. The site is also very convenient for a stopover for visiting Burghley House and many other local attractions in the vicinity. This is definitely a site where we will return too many times.

An exposed location with a tendency to get a bit muddy in wet weather.

An exposed location with a tendency to get a bit muddy in wet weather. Handy for Stamford with a Lidl, Sainsbury and Morrisons nearby. We were here during winter. The water supply is not lagged and did freeze up on several occasions although it always defrosted as the daytime temperatures rose. However if there wasn't a thaw during the day, water suppply could be difficult. Gents and ladies toilets on site but own san would be advisable.
